Was looking forward to a last special meal after a lovely city break. Was persuaded to try the restaurant by a lovely friendly waiter. Decided to eat inside. Well presented thought we had made a good choice for our last meal. Sadly no. I ordered a seafood pasta starter. Very disappointed when it arrived..one prawn..4 mussles ..2 empty and verly... More

Decided to have a drink here before dinner, however the minute we sat down they were over with the dinner menus. Even though we said we were having a drink more waiters asked us if we had decided what we wanted to eat. The restaurant itself looked nice and there was a display of fresh seafood on display. We decided... More

I visited here on the last night of our stay in Barcelona and was looking forward to a special meal. Sadly this was not to be...the restaurant is quite modern and well presented with an expansive menu but the food leaves a lot to desire. The starter of seafood ravioli was quite good but the grilled monkfish was like eating... More

I cannot say that I was disappointed. The restaurant is geared towards tourists and as such it is exactly what you would / should expect. The black rice with squid is okay and there is a selection of wines to choose from. The Statue of Dali riding a rhino in the centre of the restaurant is the only atmospheric element... More

We have eaten at this seafood restaurant on many occasions and have always enjoyed the meal but I was disappointed on my latest visit. We mainly ordered shellfish but we also, ordered a fish dish (Monk Fish). The fish was awful bordering on inedible and very expensive. In fact, it appears that prices at the restaurant have increased appreciably over... More

This place is amazing. You get to pick your seafood from the front counter, and everything is just soo fresh, and prices are relatively affordable. Everything we had was amazing, and the service was quite good as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We were looking for a place to have our pre-New Year's dinner. This was one of the restaurants where children had special menus. The restaurant was booked, but the owner had offered us a table provided that we leave in two hours :). It was a deal! The service was fast, and the servers were quite helpful. However, we didn't... We had late lunch but did not choose the Lunch Menu for 12€, even it was a good option too. Our choice was Arroz Caldoso with Bogavante (lobster). Actually we chose another Arroz Caldoso, but waiter made a mistake with it. But no worries, only reason not to chose this in a first place was that it has a lot... More

Nice place to sit down after touring the old town. Good seafood for a good price. Wine was ok. Great people watching in the plaza

We visited this eatery after my German friend had surveyed all the menus of all the eateries in the plaza and balanced it against the extended waiting time for his preferred option and the fact we could sit straight down here. We sat outside, lots of heaters to enable that al fresco feel on a dark and cold night in... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
