I had one my best lunches in this restaurant. They do special menus for lunch for two people which are truly excellent, and I went for the suckling pig which is not easy to find on menus of most restaurants. The service was also friendly...and impeccable. Most highly recommendedMore

I has been there taking a salad and a roasted chicken and looks everything right but as other review they add bread,.... without much information. Service was OK and correct. Probably I will come back soon to taste other dishes because salad was OK and...chicken is chicken but was well roasted. I seen some steak looks nice and need to be tested.More

We stumbled upon this gem by chance. And we are lucky! It is so good we did go back twice. The Plat du jour is extremely good value and also very well made. House wine is very good. Coffee superb. And service perfect. On our...last visit we even got a complimentary cake. Can’t recommend it enough.More

Am a bit surprised by the reviews here. It’s not flashy, the menu de Dias are basic (11€) and it’s local! It’s not a smart restaurant but we have eaten really well here and a friendly bunch of staff. Mrs B and I have eaten...here several times and you get what you get. Good meat and delicious fish. Plus at weekends around 2/3pm you will see a crowd outside buying roast chicken and chips! At €5 for half a rotisserie chicken and a pile of fries not bad and much better that McD’s a few doors up... we live locally and support this institution!More

We live in barcelona and we are very disappointed for not knowing that this restaurant is below average and a tourist trap. Not only the food is expensive , the quality is mediocre. We ordered asparagus with eggs and it was served cold, the grilled...filet was burnt and the quality terrible , the grilled chicken was kind of a boiled chicken and then heated. Even the coffee tastes bad, I feel sorry to spend money in this way. Please don’t do same mistakeMore

Suggested by hotel, and for which they also gave us a free-aperitifs coupon, it is a good place for just the classic Catalan cuisine. service is kind but not excessively so, selection of dishes is good and price probably a bit higher than expected

We popped in here for lunch the day before returning for an anniversary dinner in the evening. Lunch consisted of an Andulucian Gazpacho which was very genuine, but the dinner was magnificent. We ordered the foreleg of beef for two people. It would have fed...6 so we took most back for bringing home here today so we’ve just had fabulous cold beef! The restaurant itself is interesting, divided into about four long areas. The first one is full of curate cartoons, hence we think the name of the place. Very nice staff and excellent food. Just make sure you have more holes in your belt afterwards.More

We are locals and we already knew that a restaurant in Gran de Gracia, just like the ones you find in Passeig de Gràcia o Rambla de Catalunya are targeting tourists with sub-par food and outrageous prices. Nevertheless, its central location suited our purposes for...the day and we tried our luck. The menu sets are designed to make you spend as much money as possible - the 11 EUR one is your basic lunch menu, the 20 EUR one does not include beverages and going "à la carte" means you'll end up paying easily 30 to 40 EUR per person. We chose the cheapest one (entrées are quite a sorry sight) because we bet on the meat being ok. It was - that much I can say. However, when I requested that the table was cleaned up before the courses arrived, because it was sticky, the waiter at first pretended not to understand (I was speaking in Spanish and I am a native, so that was fun) and then brought two napkins and he placed them on the table, which was an astonishing way of not cleaning up at the request of a client. They did not charge for the bread nor the coffee, I think because it was clear that we were not going to be happy after that. To sum up: if you desperately need to eat around the area, they have AC, it is a big space you can find table for 5 to 8 with or without reservation and meat is reasonably good (however, for the better dishes you will be charged almost for certain 20 EUR onwards). If that is all you care about when dining in Barcelona, then you deserve the service you will get. Otherwise, avoid.More

Went for lunch with a huge group (30 people) and EVERYTHING: the food (we shared pam an tumaca, garlic shrimp, calamari, cheese, eggplants and lobster rissoto, followed by desserts), service (all waiters were attentive and on top of things for such a big group), and...the place were just perfect-More
