The meat empanada almost made me sick, it is just plain cheap and dry mince meat with a salty cheap seasoning. Avoid at all costs. The cheese empanada was better but not really that nice , I had to force myself to finish it. These are like cheap salty and bland Jamaican pattys. There are much better places around here,... More

We were there with familly and had the empanadas. We chose the place after reading good reviews on tripadvisor. We went there after visiting Sagrada Familia and were dissapointed, we were looking for a place to rest and eat some delicious food but the place is really small, only 2 chairs and the lady told us we can stay only... The food is great and the staff friendly. However, don't be mislead into thinking you can get something quick just because the food is already made. Sometimes you have to wait 10 minutes for an Empanada even though it's already ready on the table in front of you. It is a bit frustrating, there must be a more efficient way... More

KUK Comidas is a nice place to take empanadas to go. The empanadas cost 1,80€ (as per May 2015) and are of a decent size. The best ones we tried were the meat ones, as they're also filled the most compared to the others. Don't expect to sit there, the place is really small and rough-and-ready.

Fresh and tasty, home style empanadas. Very friendly and good prices!! I would recommend for takeaway as the place itself doesn't have any space to seat you..

We were recommended KUK by a work colleague and after a little effort we finally found this hidden gem (we had the wrong street marked on the map!). We had pizza, quiche and another one between the two of us. The price, service and food was amazing and would recommend that everyone goes here. It's off the tourist track so... More

Unfortunately during 2 different visits we found both plastic and aluminum in the food. Once in an empanada and once in a slice of pizza. The last time they even took out the aluminum from the slice of pizza in the kitchen (with what?!?his fingers?!?) and they bring it back to me, like to say that: "now it's fine!enjoy!".We gave... Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
