I always try to find a local place if I can for breakfast outside the hotel when traveling. This morning, I walked into Crusto, a delightful little bakery just down the street from my hotel and loved it. The mouthwatering aromas of fresh baked baguettes and other breads and pastries mingling with the scent of strong coffee, along with the... More

I was just looking for a place to get coffee and saw this little bakery. I had to get in because all the pasteries and breads looked so good! Coffee was great and staff was kind. I recommend!

We went there for breakfast 4 days in a row and every day we tried something new. Everything is delicious. I would expecially recommend: - barra de viena - magdalena de chocolate - mini pulmcake de limona - fondant de chocolate - bread without yeast (I forgot the spanish word) Enjoy!

I was in Barcelona for only a couple of days before setting sail on a Mediterranean cruise and by far one of my favorite places we went. Best cappuccino I have ever had in my life! You have ruined me Crusto!

On a visit to buy a loaf of bread to take away and to have a coffee at Crusto, our server Claudia Martin was particularly lovely and friendly. We returned 3 more times and had various breads (to take away), quiche, molten chocolate cake, and hot chocolate to drink. They were all are superb. Most certainly Claudia was part of... More

This bake shop hand delivers ... Via bike ... Breads to Madrid's restaurants and also has a nice sized eating area where customers choose fresh pastries from behind a glass counter and are served with fresh juices and coffees. Don't miss this place ... Went 3 days of a 6 day visit and wish I could go back now!

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
