Close to Santa Maria del Mar, Sagardi is mainly known for the tapas bar often very crowded. Today decided to try the restaurant which is located behind. The food style is like the Sidreria one can find in Basque Country or Navarre. The so-called chuleton is prepared on charcoal grill. You can get it with salad and fried potatoes. The... More

There were about 65% tourists, which is normal given the location. The service and atmosphere is chaotic, but in a fun sort of way. We had a ton of tapas and three drinks each over about 2.5 hours, costing about 50 Euros. Most locals ordered more judiciously, and many couples got out for under 20 Euros.

The pinxos were generally good but not all on the same level... and eventhough the meat was very good it was over priced along with the side dishes on the menu.

The tapas/ pintxos of Sagardi are very good and it looks great, but the restaurant is not. Not much attention for the two of us and the cod I've ordered was cold and raw in the middle. After my complaint, I received a new dish but the cod was way too salt, disappointing.

Delicious and extensive selection of tapas and montaditos, great wines from all over Spain and a nice place to spend a night out with friends. A winner.

Sagardi is a Basque tapas bar. The place has a great location in the Gothic district very close to Santa Maria del Mar cathedral (2 minutes walking distance) and Barcelona's main cathedral (less than 10 minutes walking distance). The Basque atmosphere is just great, and the tapas they offer are delicious: the place basically has Basque tapas: a small piece... More

We had already been to a couple of pintxo bars, but Sagardi came highly recommended. It's at a pretty central location, so we were worried the food might be touristy. It wasn't! We enjoyed the pintxos and they had a friendly staff. The atmosphere is quite loud though and it gets really crowded on weekends (which we normally don't mind,... More

If you enjoy the occasional blast of red meat, then this is a great place to 'get the itch' scratched! It's by no means cheap as 7 euros for a bit of iceberg lettuce on a plate is somewhat over the top to accompany your beef.....but hey, you only live once. Wine list was OK, if not on the expensive...
