I ordered the chicken and it was charcole on the outside and bloody in the centre. When I sent it back and ordered a ceasar salad instead it was drenched in mayonaise and really soggy.

Had a good meal , onion soup was fab, my husband said his steak was "flavoursome and tender " great ambience, not so touristy as in the larger squares. Worthy of a relaxed visit

Happened upon this little restaurant in a beautiful quiet square in Barcelona on our last night. Enjoyed the whole meal but particularly a very authentic and perfectly cooked vegetable paella! My cousin had the seafood and meat paella and was also suitably impressed! Best paella...More

We visited here last summer and had a good lunch so we went again. At this time the food was quite average and little bit touristic. The Daily menu was around 12€ including very tasty bread and wine so not very expensive at all. Service...More

This restaurant has seating both inside and outside on the square (with the giant chicken wire sculpture). As it was getting cooler evening time, we opted for indoors. After we were seated we noticed an odour of fresh spirit based paint, so presumably they'd recently...More

On our way to dinner we passed many other tourists eating on La Rambl. We continued through some of the gothic area and came upon this restaurant which we had visited a few years earlier on one of our BCN trips. We shared a seafood...More

This delightful restaurant is not only pleasant visually, but also serves excellent food...and has a most wonderful staff. The only problem is that the portions are too big, and you want to eat up every morsel. So do and then go for a long walk...More

We ate here on the night of Sept. 24, 2016. How do I remember? We were walking from our hotel to Placa Sant Juame I for the La Merce celebrations. The Plaza was wall-to-wall people , so I looked at a few of the local...More

Description
Set on a bustling street in the heart of old Barcelona near the gothic cathedral, El Trobador Ferran is a popular choice for fusion Mediterranean brasserie food in very stylish setting. The decor is bold and colourful, like a troubadour's costume, with harlequin floors and chair backs, purples and reds splashed everywhere, musically themed graphics on the walls and cheery lighting. Lightfooted waiters zip through the dining room. The menu is grill-based, with dishes like starter of grilled artichokes, mains of skewers of prawns with bacon, grilled fish and meat dishes, pastas and risottos, and dessert of crema catalena. There's a daily menu, too, featuring seasonal creations.
