Ok food but to a very expensive price. Not the level that you pay for. Service very bad, wrong bill and not pleasant. First and last time to this place.

This place was recommended by friends as a nice spot with decent food. And yes it is a nice spot and yes the food is decent. Service is correct, good choices of fish an paella. Wines good and prices fair. It lacks a spark, the...More

Manuel has retired from his role in the relatively competent Fawlty Towers to start this wonderful marina-side "tapes" restaurant. After arriving and waiting for 1/4 of the wipe-down table cloth to have some dirt pushed around on it we swiftly realised that there was no...More

Visited this establishment last week and decided on the fixed price menu which seemed like good value. One of the starters was not available and no alternative was offered which meant one of our party was 'forced' to take a starter that they didn't particularly...More

We stopped off here on a visit to the harbour area of Barcelona one afternoon. Just wanted somewhere for tapas and drinks to take in the lovely atmosphere and views. I had humus, babba ganoush, pitta and wine. Lovely spot

Went for lunch on a warm day. Place was relatively empty. Sat in the tapas section. Food and service were good. Prices not particularly high considering location.

This restaurant was recommended by a local guide for good authentic paella and seafood; being a Barceloneta local Cal Pinxo was one of the suggestions. We booked online for New Year’s Eve, receiving both an sms and email confirmation of our reservation. Be aware if...More

We had some really good tapas but we went for the safe ones: meat, cheese and tomato toast. The sangria was good but 33 euros seems a bit steep.

Had to ask twice for butter, paid 4€ for 2 breads that weren't fresh. Between starter and main course there was no time left. My starter (calamari) were cold as wel. Took creme catalan as dessert, the burned part on top was cold (they did...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

With amazing views of the Port Vell Marina, Cal Pinxo is decorated to be carefully informal in all the soft blues and aquas of the sea and sky. The restaurant has broad windows and a terrace directly looking out onto the Mediterranean. After postres, you can take a stroll on the marina or in the Barceloneta. The menu is classic Catalan with special emphasis on things that swim. Start with a plate of fresh clams then do not miss their paella, then maybe some creme catalana or egg flan. Service is professional and quick, and there's a children's menu, too.
