The used to be a stunning restaurant it sits on the edge of the marina and is great for people watching if you sit at a terrace table, the food is still great although it is very pricy, but the killer is the service, note...More

This is a perfectly decent restaurant in the port, the pricing is Ok (Muga blanco at €25), the service friendly and efficient. You will not have the best meal of your life here but nor will it be the worst. To describe it as ordinary...More

After a very long walk we came down onto the marina and sat down for two very well-deserved premium sangrias. The views were nice, the ambience relaxing and the food quite good. Not cheap but overall reasonable value and we had no issues with the...More

About the best bar-front location, friendly helpful staff. You can eat much more expensively next door (same owner) or tapas here. V.large (but good) G&Ts and pretty good tapas (the ones we tried at least). The only one (of six) to avoid is the sardines...More

Tapas cost 7/8 eur each and the restraunt has pretty good choice of different tapas. Though, the portions a bit small as for this price. We ordered 5 tapas to share between two ladies and it was enough as for our taste but maybe one...More

Expensive crap with a view. Yes, the view is amazing. The food however is the worst I've had in Barcelona (where I live). Paid 11 euro's for 6 extremely thin very salt ansjovis. The vegetables from the main dish had no taste and must have...More

This place is a must for whenever I am in Barcelona. Bar none the best paella I have ever eaten. Great location and atmosphere as well. Truly fantastic.

We went to Barcelona this weekend and we were looking for a good restaurant (especially for the paella) without being such touristics. And we hadn't been disappointed, the welcoming had been perfect, one of the waitress proposed us the perfect table, they proposed a french...More

Sopped here as the most reasonable option on the harbour and had a few drinks and plates of tapas. Given the location, it was never going to be particularly cheap. The location was lovely and great for watching people on the esplanade. Service was ok,...More

Terrible service and average food. We were constantly trying to get the waiters attention and none of them were friendly or professional. Wouldn't return.

Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line

Description
With amazing views of the Port Vell Marina, Cal Pinxo is decorated to be carefully informal in all the soft blues and aquas of the sea and sky. The restaurant has broad windows and a terrace directly looking out onto the Mediterranean. After postres, you can take a stroll on the marina or in the Barceloneta. The menu is classic Catalan with special emphasis on things that swim. Start with a plate of fresh clams then do not miss their paella, then maybe some creme catalana or egg flan. Service is professional and quick, and there's a children's menu, too.
