The food at Embat was beautifully displayed and sooooo tasty. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our starters and we both shared our mains and both loved them equally. We had: Starter: truffle meat cannelloni/calamari Main: entrecôte with potatoes/suckling pork with parmentier potatoes. The only...More

Atmosphere just right. Service, good enough. Product, very good. Original dishes from well known recipes. Worth to try: tartar de tonyina (tuna tartare) amb escabetx oriental, tartar d’esberginia (aubergine tartare) with dashi dressing. “Spaguetti” de calamar amb cremos de sobrassada, and a never out of...More

My husband and I recently had lunch at Restaurant Embat, and had a great experience sampling a local restaurant with few tourists. With few tables, reservations are a must, as one woman handles the entire front of the house, very efficiently. We were disappointed that...More

We had a great dinner here. A charming restaurant with an inventive cuisine. Our appetizers were great, they included artichokes with anchovies and eggplant tartare. Main courses included spanish rice with mushrooms and shrimp cooked to perfection, and a delicious tuna tartare. The dessert was...More

For 38 euro pp we had a most wonderful 5-course meal that deserved a Michelin star ! A hidden treasure that is more than ready to be discovered by the wider public. Do go there when you are in Barcelona!

Beautiful food. Truffle duck cannelloni is heaven. Beef was to die for. An absolute gem! You need to go. We were only in Barcelona 3 nights and ate here twice. Very highly recommended

This place serves special food at good prices. Very special food, worth checking it out. The decor of the place is simple and may discourage some from that "special" night out, wine list is simple, service kind and welcoming. I feel the wonderful food deserves...More

After a week of tapas and costa brava seafood we found Embat. Lovely Sardine appetizer with corn garnish, then pork tenderloin for entre. Couldn't have been better presented, nor better prepared. Must stop in Barcelona!

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you
enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally
translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes
recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant
atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district,
Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end
international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the
glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best

For quite a while Santi Rebes , Chef and owner of "Embat ", was envisioning a change in the interior design of his restaurant. Santi was looking for a fresh style whose simplicity gives a Nordic bliss to his place and yet keeps it warm and cozy. Mid-2014, Santi decides to carry out his vision and engages Interior Designer Jordi Ginabreda . Jordi is a young designer born in Vall d'En Bas, Girona. He is currently based in Barcelona and he has an outstanding professional career. Jordi has certainly done an excellent job! Chef Santi Rebes Santi studied Culinary Arts at Escuela de Hosteleria San Ignasi of Barcelona. Over the years Santi works at two prestigious Dutch restaurants until he is invited to join Chef Cuisine in the well-known Barcelonian restaurant "Cata 1.81". Here Santi develops his flair combining the traditional Catalan cuisine with the acquired international savors. Later, Santi graduates as Master in Pastry at "Escuela de Postres Espaisucre" where he becomes Chef Cuisine of the school's restaurant. In 2007 Santi becomes Chef-owner of his restaurant "Embat".
