Had a business lunch with a colleague. Weather was sunny so we sat outside which nice, service very efficient. Food itself was ok but not thrilling, sea food was fresh , the pasta paella was heavily spiced which required a lot of water next to...More

We happened upon Merendero de la Mari while walking in the Port Vell area of Barcelona. There is a strip of 4-5 restaurants and they had the most people so we made the decision to eat here, Yes...this was the priciest meal we had on...More

Only had one night in Barcelona so finding this excellent restaurant by chance was really good luck. Outside an in, this restaurant is immaculate with a newly refurbished feel about it plus if feels spacious due to the really high ceiling. We were a multi-national...More

I have been in several of the restaurants around and I am happy to find out one that really serves what you expect... Not only the dishes we ordered were phenomenal, but the ones I saw in the tables near by look delicious! They have...More

We arrived there with a group in time despite that all food was served cold. Waiters do not speak English and not helpful at all. The glory of the dinner was the black paella which was pasta in a black salty sauce.

The location is all this establishment has going for it. The most unfriendly Staff I've come across. It wasn't just one person having a bad day. The 4 employees we encountered were lacking any sort customer service from the hostess to the 3 waiters that...More

With a view, this restaurant is great for an outside meal at the terrace. Irregular service procided by a mix of spontaneous and efficient lady and a kind of grumpy senior waiter... The food was good, you could taste the freshness of the fish. Tempting...More

Business meal following team meeting. Restaurant happily moved us to a larger table as our group expanded beyond our reservation. Tapas to start: mussels, really crispy and light croquettes and white-bait - delicious. Main course black rice paella - really good. Others had paella or...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in
