About
Oria is a modern and casual yet sophisticated space integrated into the lobby of the hotel by means of an inverted pyramid structure. It is mainly characterised by its high ceiling, a skylight that floods the space with natural light and a lamp-pool with still waters which brings order to the setting. Bistro-style restaurant directed by Martín Berasategui which serves fresh cuisine inspired by the gastronomy of the countries that are bathed by the Mediterranean with a nod to Basque cuisine. The best ingredients in equilibrium with creativity are the hallmarks of Oria's culinary offer.

Me and my wife had a wonderful lunchtime in Oria last Saturday. Both food and service were excellent, we got the 95 Eur menu and we wouldn't change a thing. Next time we'll come for dinner so that we can have more wine. The cost/quality...ratio is unbeatable! Thanks to all the team.More

Martín Berasategui is undoubtedly one of the best chefs in the world. He has the gift, he presents simple, delicious, beautiful dishes that are well balanced and perfectly seasoned. His team both in the kitchen and in the dining room are of the highest standard....So you are guaranteed an unbeatable gastronomic experience. From the 3 delicious breads served with 3 flavoured butters (salt, rosemary and kalamata olives) and highest quality Arbequina olive oil to the final dessert of cherries done 3 ways with coconut ice cream, amaretto, chocolate and other delights. All within elegant surroundings and with the best table service. The highlights are too many to mention them all. The menu can change from day to day. We had aperetifs of cod fritters, tapioca crisps with a salmon puré, cod crisp with red parwn. A foie gras cream and horn of plenty starter followed by one of Berasategui's signature dishes à gel of tomato essence with an array of seafood and vegetable delights. Another starter of some glorious oxtail ravioli again with some horn of plenty mushrooms and a Reblochon cream. Fantastic sea bass with a wakame sauce, a scallop and red prawn tartare. To finish the mains a scandelously tender bit of tasty Iberian pork with some satay sauce a saffron cream and apple sauce. I'm being brief of course! A mini dessert of lemon verbena ice-cream with pieces of apple and pineapple to clean the palate before the final aforementioned dessert. Enjoy! I did! The menu will vary depending on the best ingredients available that day and what the chef decides to do with them. Red prawns and horn of plenty mushrooms appeared in multiple dishes so I assume these were ingredients available that day, 2 wonderful culinary delights that I love so I count myself to be lucky. If you can visit Oria then do it! I will most definitely be back!More

Food 4/5 Tried 65 euro menu. In general all dishes were good but not exceptional. As a special note, I had difficulties finding even decent desserts in Spain, but in Oria also they were good. This was my first experience of eating at a Michelin star restaurant and I was far from disappointed and can’t wait for the next one. The food was exquisite - each mouthful an explosion of flavor. Each bite an accumulation of fine consideration and work...resulting in a taste sensation. The courses were served elegantly by our gracious waitress Sara who explained in detail everything on the plate. She was as important as the food itself as she made us very welcome. The first thing I thought of this morning is what me and my husband called “The summer plate” ... a piece of artwork - langoustine, balloons of skinned tomatoes, delicate flowers, sliced length way paper thin mini carrot and so much more sitting on a reduced tomato emulsion truly messianic. But one of the show stoppers for us oddly enough was the palate cleanser dish ... one we will never forget … a lemon verbena ice cream, fennel, apple, pineapple sauce ...the ice cream tasted like my garden … utterly fabulous…and what about the risotto with carpaccio of squid and oyster purée and brilliant almost neon green served in a black bowl enhancing the drama of the dish itself...I could go on but the simple truth is I can’t recommend Oria enough.More

My wife and I chose the 65 euro tasting menu, and we were informed that it would be a surprise, which we kinda liked. Amuse bouche came out and were hit and miss - mini cod bunyols with chamomile cream and yuzu were fantastic, the...red shrimp on a crispy fish skin was also good, but we didn’t enjoy the 3rd one - I think it was a whelk (or similar) on a fishy crunchy piece of something. They also brought different types of bread, the blue cheese brioche was the standout, we both demolished it instantly. First starter was an amazing version of a shrimp salad. Don’t even want to describe it, as it was so good. Then a risotto with octopus, which was just ok. The fish main course was also just ok - I liked it more than my wife. The fish was dainty and cooked well and everything on the plate made sense. The meat course was fantastic, a piece of perfectly cooked Spanish beef served with some dainty accompaniments. On to dessert, which was phenomenal. They first brought a pear and cardamom palate cleanser, which was nice, but the main citrus and white chocolate was one of the best and most creative desserts we’ve ever tasted. Meal ended with petite fours, which we found a little underwhelming. Great service throughout, the cost is 65 euros per person and certainly worth it (there is also the 85 euro option, which is more food and different courses).More

We love hunting down Barcelona’s Michelin restaurant tasting menus, that now includes Oria. Fantastic ambience. The staff was amazing, covid measures practiced. We opted for the surprise chef’s tasting menu and glad we did. Each of the 8 dishes were beautifully crafted, each colourful ingredient...carefully thought of that results in an explosion of tastes. We added (optional)black truffle (+€15 per dish per person) on the risotto dish and made it even more delicious. We paired the dishes with a bottle of light red wine that perfectly complimented every dish. It was a heavenly lunch experience on a rainy Saturday.More

I will get right to the point. These people are not serious and can't trust them with a glass of water. We had a confirmed and guaranteed for with credit card reservation for a buisness meeting in Barcelona on the 11.07.2020, only for it to...be unceremoneously cancelled a week before. It has taken months to organise this meeting with partners from three diferent countries, a German bank and a Swiss bank, and this was supposed to be the initial meeting place for the future partners. Well needless to say that the whole venture might be compromised because of the whim of some incompetent fool that can't count chairs for a living. God forbid you should trust such an element with a slightly more responsible task, like watering flowers for example. I shudder at the picture of the possible outcome. How hard can it be to add and substract, use a calculator or a sliding rule if you can't. Why is it so complicated for some to keep their word? Wasting other peoples time is impardonable and shows an utter lack of respect. The fame of the restaurant might impress the amateur but for those familiar with the scene, this is the absolute excrement of attitude (which I would totally expect from Paul Bocuse, but he was a very responsible and talented person) . Do not go there if you can't afford the time to be dissapointed or if you're not ready to be treated with neglect, arrogance and disrespect. But, if you are a masochist, feel free to atempt. To be honest, I saw more respect at McDonald's.More
