As a typical tourist, I am early on my way and the first customer to arrive. None the less, I was very warmly welcomed and shown to my table. The waiter wanted to assure, that I'll eat Cochinillo asado, roast pig, and that's just what...I was intending to eat. I am eagerly studying spanish, so I wanted to speak spanish even though my vocabulary is limited. I had a nice discussion with a bit older waiter, who recommended me Judiones de la Granja as a starter, beans from la Granja. It's a local speciality and it was an excellent choice. The main course was a mouth watering juicy, tender and tasty. The restaurant started to fill up when I left, but I did it very satisfied and will gladly come back next time visiting Segovia. It was an exceptionally chilly september evening in Segovia, I hope it will be warmer next time. Absolutely well worth a visit.More

This is not one of the most famous asadores in Segovia but we had a great experience. We are outside in the share which was great. They have a set menu probably because if COVID. Everything was delicious. The burger of suckling pug was great,...the salad of partridge, the suckling pig. Great service and great value for money.More

I visited the place with my boyfriend as we booked with the fork with 50% offer. First impression was totally wrong - they cancelled our booking, we had to make it for another day, when we arrived and saw the outside chairs with cut legs,we were...thinking about cancelling the booking. How wrong would we be! We had one of the best dinners ever, great food (goat cheese salad, tosts with serrano jam, false risotto, deserts) and, last but not least, the best waiter who ever attended us. Guillermo was really attentive, helpful, fast, polite. Everything a perfect waiter should be. I personally work in a customer service industry and I would love to have people like Guillermo in my team.More

We stumbled upon this lovely restaurant, intrigued by the jazz music being piped in, but mainly to get out of the rain. What a find! Our Spanish is not the best, but the charming waiters, who spoke very little English, were more than gracious and...took the time to explain the menu and make suggestions. The food was very good and you will not go wrong with the suckling pig - absolutely delicious!More

We ate dinner at this restaurant shortly after arrival in Segovia. It was a little tricky to find even though it was only a short distance to the main street in town. I phoned for reservations and was told that I should come after 8...PM. As it turns out this restaurant, like many Spanish restaurants, does not open for dinner until after 8 PM. When we arrived we were the only ones there and had some misgivings but the restaurant soon filled up quickly. The manager and the waiter who served us were friendly, humorous, and accommodating. They spoke little English but I was able to get by OK with my limited Spanish and using their English language menu. One of the glasses on our table was covered in fingerprints and it was promptly replaced when we brought it to the manager's attention. We chose our meal from the fixed menu and both had a green salad, lamb chops, and servings of the typical delicous Segovian punch cake for dessert. The lamb chops had little meat on them and were more salty than we liked, but I learned later that the lamb chops served in Spain are from very young lambs and, as a result, have much less meat than those we usually buy in the U.S and furthermore, I learned that the Spanish typically use more salt on lamb chops than we are used to. At the end of our meal we were given 2 servings of 2 different liqueurs gratis. The prices at this restaurant were generally lower than those on the main street of town but the food was only average overall.More

We read the reviews before going, and was feeling a little bit cautious. There was not anything to be catious about. The food was good and the portions was more than adequate. The waiters were friendly. All in all, an overly pleasant evening. Only one...thing. No ala carte. Only menu. But that's not enough to draw down the level. Good suckling pig, tender lamb. Don't be afraid! Especially if on budget. 40 € for 2 people.More

4 people and I went to lunch. They did not agree with us choosing 3 Menus and 1 entry to share and they demanded 1 plate per person otherwise they could not attend us and we had to withdraw from the restaurant, so it was.

We have been looking for to get a good genuine Spanish cochinillo, very popular in Segovia, so TripAdvisor is really helpful. This place offers really good food, specially the meat, and excellent price. Good salads, good mains and excellent desserts.

My husband and I had lunch at El Oso Blanc a couple of days ago. We went with the lunch menu, which was close to €22 and included an appetizer, an entree, desert and half bottle of wine. There are three different prices that change...depending on the wine you choose. We went with the one in the middle. The judiones soup and the cochinillo were delicious. Oscar was our server. He was great. Outstanding service!More
