I'm happy we stopped by Meson Cervantes for a quick lunch upon arrival in Salamanca. The service was quick and efficient, the food was good and we had an excellent view of the Plaza. The lack of air conditioning made the meal a bit stifling...More
We booked a table upstairs, next to a window overlooking the plaza. Wonderful view but still very hot as the air conditioning was not on and the table was facing the setting sun. Opted for a couple of Raciones rather than the Tapas as they...More

.....the view. The food was unimaginative, poor quality, cold and vastly overpriced. The waiter, in an attempt to get a bigger tip, even had the cheek to explain that the tax on the bill wasn't the service charge!
I've been many times. If you can get a table with views to Plaza Mayor the experience can be very good. The food is average and maybe over priced. Anyway you can just go up for tapas, what it's nice and later you can stay...More
