This was our last dinner in Spain after 10 days on the road during which time we'd eaten some fantastic food but a lot of pork. In addition, the frenetic nightlife of Léon over a festival weekend in what may also have been the Spanish equivalent of freshers week, was starting to take its toll on us oldies with all... More

I was brought to this old, lovely wine bar by a friend from León. Beautiful atmosphere and great local wines with a small plate of tapas(i was served meatballs and chips) included in the price less than two euro. Staff were no fuss, and courteous. I went back alone later at night as I felt so comfortable there to be... More

This restaurant/Bar-Pub is established here since 1949 in a very well restored building dating from the 17th century and a cellar from the 12th century. We ate at the dining room close to the cellar which is amazing! We had sopa de ajo Leonesa (garlic soup with loads of paprika) and some queso de Leon curado (cheese) and croquetas caseras... More

First to eat at 9.00 no one else, a little worried however the baby squid and deserts were more compensation for being early. A great restaurant.

We were brought here by our local friends and liked it very much. It doesnt look like much on the outside, but it has a very cool basement. Great ambiance, good food and drinks and lots of local people. Nice music also!

This restaurant doesn't look much from the outside: you might think it's just a bar and pass bay. However, it has an upstairs dining room at the back. Best of all it has a cool bodega in the basement. That was where we were offered a table on a very hot evening in Leon. The only other diners were locals... More

We loved the menu. We ordered a Solomillo that was outstanding. The waiter was very accommodating in opening a bottle of wine, I only wanted 1/2 bottle. He charged only 1/2 price. The bodega downstairs is wonderful. It was close for Lunch , but I am sure it is a place to be on weekend evenings!

The restaurant is within walking distance of the parador where we stayed. The atmosphere has old world charm and the food is excellent. Try the pulpo gallego, (octopus with potatoes sprinkled with paprika) it is delicious. The service is attentive, and as with most restaurants in Spain, the waiter does not expect a tip and is particularly gracious when they... More

We really enjoyed our lunch here. We ate upstairs and experienced very good service and good wine and food. We called ahead to ask if they could make us a birthday cake, and the made the best almond cake we've ever had, and in northern Spain you can eat a lot of almond cake. This one had some gooey almond... More

In the restaurant: relatively good service, mediocre food, really bad cod fish, mainly tourists, very boring menu! And the worst (the real reason to avoid this place): They servce only French sparkling water, at crazy prices, here in Spain, a country with some of the world's best sparkling water. Would be nice to find out why.
