A large dining room that slowly filled up. We took starters in half portions, which is more than enough. Artichoke with Iberico ham was excellent so was the cod with patato sauce. Delicious suckling lamb for two! Nice local wine!

The Landa is the number one stop over from Madrid to the Basque country. The menu consists mainly of local dishes based on meat and vegetables--choice is superb and quality is outstanding. Service is first class too. Highly recommended.

We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon for a coffee, really nice place and great for a catch up with family. It was crowded but the staff found us a place and were very helpful. The grounds and interior are worth going just for a look around.

Absolutely horrible experience, A place that it's a 5***** restaurant and hotel, the expectations are as such. I was there with family, having something to eat. The decoration of the place it's really beautiful and classic. We sat cz waiting for someone to take our order. The lady who took our order was the SUPERVISOR called TINA, she couldn't be... More

Beautiful place. Great food. Too slow, although they have a lot of waiters they do not seem to be available for everything. Too pricey. Worth a stop if you are not in a hurry though.

Provably the best on the road restaurant I've been to. The morcilla tasted good and crispy. The eggs had a nice taste. The best was probably the solomillo hamburgers. Very tasty. The bathrooms were surprisingly VERY clean. The desserts were also greaat very crunchy and tasty.

The restaurant has a mediaeval theme décor. The menu is typical Spanish serving wholesome food fairly priced with what might be described as having a popular and drinkable wine list. Good and helpful staff with menus in English if you need them.

The hotel appears to be a restored castle. Approached just off the motorway it doesn't give the appearance at first of a five star hotel. But once inside...things are very much five star. Attention to detail is obvious...bathrooms spotless and all the monogrammed linens and towels are ironed to perfection . A very comfortable hotel with an interesting restaurant .... More

  • This restaurant is at Landa
The beginning of the Landa dates back to 1959. A little restaurant was opened 2 km outside Burgos where travellers used to refresh themselves on their journey along the road which, despite its faults, was then the main route linking the capital with the north of Spain.
The commitment of the Landa family to the hotel business dates back to the beginning of the 20th century with the “Real Club de Puerta de Hierro” in Madrid and “La Perla” in San Sebastián, and later with “La Gran Taberna”, also in Madrid.
The Landa started out during hard times for the Spanish hotel business in non urban areas; the hotel, its various extensions, the tower, the pool, the square… were incorporated later on, little by little.
