Excellent food and hospitality. We chose the tasting menu from appetizer to main course and dessert. Everything is excellent, we can compare with other competition tasting menus for a higher price. Thank you for the experience of Spanish cuisine.

We had been traveling all day on a light breakfast and on a holiday where other restaurants were closed. At nearly 4 pm we happened upon this place quite by accident. We ordered 2 tapas, sangria, and a beer. The Gambones Al ajillo came out w/ wonderful crusty bread to soak up all the garlic butter and we were HOOKED! Ordered a third Tapas and ultimately 2 more drinks. Each tapas (Costillas marinades & Carrilera iberica) was GREAT! Service was friendly and relaxed and we left there revived and ready to see more of Puerta de Santa Cruz.
YUM! If we had been in town another day we would have returned here again! Sangria, too, was first rate!

We really enjoyed our visit to La Traperia on our recent trip to Puerto de las Cruz.
The food was very tasty and really well presented.
The waitress who served us was very knowledgeable about gluten free choices from the menu and was a great help.
Would certainly recommend this small cozy restaurant.

Great tapas and we opted for their 2 person menu plus some additional tapas for the kids. The octopus was delicious, as well as the tortilla and manchego! Dessert were also very good, in particular crema catalana.

After recommedation by Trip Advisor, we easily made an reservation to go eat here. As we found out, the food is really good here, so you have to make a reservation.
We had the chef's choice tapas for two. It was a fantastic meal, with a bit of everything. Brought to us by really friendly and helpfull staff. The recommended wine was delicious and the food very very good. There was a live performance with lovely music. We loved our visit so much, we afterwards made another reservation for our last night on the island, which again was a fantastic meal and experience.
Can recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the island of Tenerife.

The food was amazing. We had the tasting menu which was a good price for the dishes you got. All the food was good but the Iberian cheek in red wine sauce was sensational. Service was good but the food definitely stole the show.

Rather inconspicuous from the outside, but the food is impressive!
I had the garlic cream bread 9/10
The creamy rice with shrimp 10/10
And ice cream with hazelnuts 7/10
Everything was very harmonious at a fair price, I would definitely come back.

The restaurant is aesthetically super beautiful, the service is great and it works very quickly. The food is incredible. Above all, the omelette, the creamy rice and the cod croquettes.
I highly recommend going there, since both the service and the food are impeccable.

Enjoyed the dinner immensely. Great diversity of dishes and everything of high quality. Neat presentation and very good service. The restaurant is not large, but therefore excels in coziness. If you want to enjoy extremely tasty tapas, this place is highly recommended!

If you like tapas then look no further. This is the place. You might need to book a table (possible on instagram) as it’s small but busy. We had bravas, pan con tomato, croquetas and padrons. The gambas in garlic and the pork cheek were to die for!!! And I’ve had many good gambas before…. I’d probably just skip the bravas as they were huge and slightly undercooked. Highly recommended.

Food was fantastic. Highly recommend papas bravas, tenderloin with vegetables, croquettes, sausages. It was all fabulous. Marba red wine was also delicious. Very friendly waiter. He made the experience more enjoyable. The basque cheesecake was a winner with everyone in the family. Will return.

We were out and about exploring Tenerife by car, after much getting lost and going round in circles we needed an urgent bathroom break so had to pull over and find the nearest place we could. We could not have stumbled upon a better place, such a cosy atmosphere, we had the place to ourselves due to the time of day, and the staff really couldn’t do enough for us. We have had tapas many times before, but this was sensational. Please please please order the sizzling prawns, I already had these the night before, but the ones I had here were phenomenal. Please find this place and try the food, you so t be disappointed

La Taperia Tapas. Pleasant friendly staff, prompt service and great tasty nice hot tapas food. This was our first stop in the area, before going to our apartment. The restaurant is close to the bus station and near a main stadium. Prices are reasonable (Menus in images attached with prices for info!). We would recommend and return back.

Very nice restaurant offering a variety of typical tapas. We stopped for lunch for a quick break, we did not think we would find such a high quality! Excellent appetizers, excellent fish and excellent meat. The waiter was very kind and helpful. The price is absolutely good for the quality and quantity of the dishes.

We ordered a selection of plates and was not disappointed.
The iberico croquettes were my favourite, absolutely fabulous.
Canarian potatoes were lovely too .
Not so keen on the meatballs.
Nice place to sit and people watch whilst drinking red wine and eating great food
