The gastronomic experience in our traditional Canarian house, "casona", in the city centre of Puerto de la Cruz is something quite unique. You can enjoy our delicious Canarian food, seafood and fresh fish in our cosy Canarian courtyard surrounded by more than 500 photographs that tell the history of this beautiful town. Having spent a week at the other end of the Island and then been delayed for over 24 hours due to the sandstorm closure of the airport, we were moved to Puerto de la Cruz in the north. First time we had been here in 36 years.
On a walk round the town we were handed a menu for this place by the owner outside. We walked on, but on subsequent inspection thought the menu looked very good and decided to go back & give it a try. We are so glad we did.
Tucked away it's a lovely place to sit down & enjoy a long leisurely lunch.
My grilled squid starter was gorgeous as was the shellfish risotto main. My wife said the same of her Pate mexicano starter and Goat's cheese salad main. A couple of jugs of their own Sangria and a small bottle of house white washed everything down perfectly. The house tiramisu, prepared from scratch at your table in front of you was delicious as well.
The menu, service and overall feel of the place was fantastic.

Very good food, and fantastic service. The staff were so friendly and attentive, we had a fried cheese and carpaccio starter, lovely bottle of fizz, risotto and paella, and the canarian creme Catalan. More expensive than most places in town but definitely worth it on volume of food and service. Huge portions, the 1 person paella would have been plenty for 2.

We went here for our last night in Tenerife, and WOW what a meal!
We had starters of smoked salmon salad and pate, for mains I had the sole and my husband had a steak which he cook himself to his liking at the table, all of which were so tasty and fresh.
We were sat outside beside a heater which was lovely and we weren’t rushed to leave when we finished our meal.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and I highly recommend.
We would definitely return

Well worth stepping outside Plaza Del Charco.
Ordered from the specials menu. Cream of watercress with fermented cheese and almonds was a delight followed by Chestnut tagliatelle with mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. If this is how good vegetarian food is I'll give up meat tomorrow.

Two visits one great one terrible!! We enjoyed tapas one evening in the terrace / just the two of us. Next day - lunch with family and baby. We waited an hour for some of the tapas we ordered to arrive with those that had very quickly. Staff seemed indifferent even when addressed in Spanish. In the end we got up and left!!!

Poor paella de mariscos, wasn't very tasting. On Parrillada mixta one of the fish was too cooked the other one was raw. Not happy with the service as well, don't take people at 10pm if you don't want to give a decent service as t'he bill for 2 main courses 1bottle of wine (12€) and 1 bottle of water was tot. 65€

We took one of the fresh fishes that the waiter recommended together with canarian potatoes and cooked vegetables. The waiters prepared the fish nicely and removed the bones. The fish was very tasty and the service good. I would recommend this place if you are looking for fresh and well prepared seafood.

Wonderful seafood restaurant with many choices covering different budgets. All staff were so helpful and Knowledgeable about the menu and the fresh daily fish they have available. Made me feel totally at home as a solo woman diner. Would definitely recommend the limoncello tiramisu for desert if available. The sangria is not too shabby too! The fish and seafood were perfectly cooked. Would definitely recommend. 😋

Like all the restaurants in the area you need to ask for the tapas menu but it was great. Freshly cooked and great value for money. The two of us had not eaten since breakfast and we were starving by 7pm so had 7 tapas between us and struggled to finish service was great from the very professional staff.

Excellent food. We ordered 2 starters and 2 main courses but ended up sharing everything. The portions were very large (perhaps not by US standards) , but we were glad to have a chance to sample each dish. Service was a bit slow because the restaurant was very busy but the servers had a really positive attitude and were very friendly. Highly recommend

My partner and I were looking for a sea food restaurant and we just so happened to stumble upon this gem. We had no reservation but they managed to seat us outside on the street, allowing us a front row seat to watch all the fabulous costumes people were wearing for Carnival- what an absolute treat! We wanted to play it safe and eat fish within our comfort zone (salmon for my better half and cod for myself) but we were gently encouraged to try one of the specials, a local fish baked in a salt crust and professional cut and served to us, delicious and tender accompanied by beautifully cooked vegetables. What a memorable experience and a delicious meal to mark our third anniversary.
Highly recommend the friendly and attentive service, the delicious dishes and the memorable atmosphere that will stay with fondness in our memories.

Over priced, bland food.
Went with my wife for a lovely romantic meal, how wrong could I get it.
Food was poor to say the least, sauces a waste of time, sides a joke.
Then to top it off a tiramisu that tasted so old the cream had gone sour.My advice is to steer clear of this over priced restaurant.

Except for the tuna tartare created at the table, which was excellent, the meal on the whole was not as good as hyped up to be. The suggested wine was ok, but again did not live up to the promises.
Service was ok.
The tartare saved this rating.

We ate here a few days ago and loved it, so when we saw a spare table this evening we were delighted. The first course , artichoke with ham, was excellent, the second, inedible. Just be careful, the fish may not be as fresh as you might hope.

Fantastic ambience, very pleasant & helpful staff. Excellent food, we had Salmon, Prawn tagliatelle , chicken Paella, the paella was a little to salty but also very tasty. Desert, wine,beer & gin went Down well. I would highly recommend El Pesacdor. Good price too.
