We were in La Laguna during carnival week & struggled to find a restaurant open on Tuesday evening. We had walked past the restaurant in the morning & decided to give it a try in the evening. There were 6 of us & we all ordered a different small plate & shared. The food was freshly prepared, a reasonable
price for what we had & we all enjoyed our evening. Our waiter was Dennis, who was a charming & efficient young man.

Went for lunch, which was an excellent choice in this typical Canarian restaurant with lots of interesting photographs of former times.
Had a wide choice of very nice tapas, which all were very well presented and tasted lovely.
The green peppers are however ridiculously overpriced! Nice place, staff sort of OK.

We started with garlic soup and we didn’t know that will be the best dish / muschels were to spicy and a little bit to cold / t-bone was ordered medium rare, brought rare and “only” warm... Well, we expected more.

San Cristobal de La Laguna is a very nice place to visit but if you plan to be there at lunchtime be sure to book in advance. Everything was packed when we were there and we made the mistake of walking into this restaurant which had available tables. Ordered squid but it was absolutely inedible, the worst we have ever had. Took one mouthful and left. Staff did not enquire if there was any problem, just charged the full amount and walked away. Bad experience!

We were at Meson La Hijuela for dinner. The service was very bad and it was too slow and sloppy. Clearly overpriced food. After one week in Tenerife enjoying a great time, this was by far the worst experience.

We've just stopped off of the street as everywhere we've been has been nice so far but wish we'd check the reviews first.
Food is ok but it's terribly overpriced. Also, we were nearly overcharged by 21 euros so check your bill carefully if you do go.

Whist trying to order the attendant was distracted, walking away a few times whilst we were ordering,.. we where close to pull out without the meal The bill was wrong ( drinks never served charged, servings ordered not delivered, one serving delivered and not charged, incredible!)
Waiter behavior unpolite and aggressive, Our last evening in Tenerife spoiled, whilst our stay in the island have been otherwise more than pleasant:
On the bill I read this post:"le atentiò Pablo Agea" : Poor performance Pablo!

Found this ace by accident, just wandeting in the historic area of La Laguna. Good food, good atmosphere, friendly staff even though we don't speak any Spanish.

The food was lovely, But too expensive for what it was, we had a selection of iberico meat, cheeses, and anchovies in vinegar.
That’s when the fun stopped
One waiter, who was wearing glasses, was so rude I wanted to punch his lights out, and I’m a very patient person!
His stinking attitude just ruined everything, he was also coughing a lot over people’s heads without putting his hand in front of his smelly gob!
They should put that guy in the kitchen washing dishes or cleaning toilets, or send him to Jupiter, this guy has zero customer service skills!
Get rid of him sharpish!

Went twice, it was so good. The slices of roast pork were delicious and service prompt in this family-run restaurant in the centre of town. Steak solomio served with prawns and avocado were wolfed down and the garlic soup with salty pieces of pork and a poached egg was the kind of food grannies have made for generations. Loved it

We had a great diner here with my parents in law. My father in law ordered some lamb leg what he really enjoyed. The other three of us ordered some tapas to share which showed to be the best we already ate in Tenerife. Also the service was top. We recommend this to everyone who enjoy real Spanish food.

Can't understand the varying reviews, we had a pleasant experience. This place is full of atmosphere. We went for tapas at lunchtime, we loved the decor inside and the tapas was wonderful (especially the wild mushrooms with iberico ham) and reasonably priced too. Service was excellent. This place added to our enjoyment of San Cristobal de La Laguna which is a lovely town. Would definitely return.

A total rip off ... very expensive, wine was awful and staff unfriendly ... was tempted to eat here, but thankfully decided not too ... Will never return.
Me parece una estafa, carísimo y el vino malísimo, encima antipáticos. Al principio estaba tentado comer aquí, menos mal que decide que no ... no volveré nunca.
