El Diablo Restaurant, perched atop an active volcano, surrounded by a Moonscape! A must visit destination. Been a couple of times now and nothing has changed - which is a good thing. The bus ride is something not to be missed. The furnace where the chickens are cooked, the hot water geyser display and the grass that catches fire due... More

Despite rain being so rare on the island we got rather soggy on our trip around the national park prior to our meal. That being said it was a lovely evening with basic but good food and lovely music from local musicians

When my friend suggested to have a meal here, we were a bit nervous that we were going to pay for a not very good food as usual for a tourist restaurant. However the food was very good and tasty. The main attraction is that your chicken is cooked by the volcano's heat. We were assigned to our table and... More

We booked this trip when we arrived. The experience was amazing and the views out of this world. The coach driver deserved a pat on the back. At the end of the tour through the lava mountains seeing all sorts of craters etc, we ended up in the restaurant where they cook your food at 450 degrees with the heat... More

The glass walls make for an interesting sight whilst eating. Tour groups were outside being shown the fire pit whilst we ate. They also throw water down into metal pipes which then fire back up from the heat of the volcano. The service and food were ok but I did see one table of four leave as they had not... More

It's ok. Main feature is the novelty value of food cooked by the heat of the volcano. Very hot and stuffy inside and a bit of a tourist trap. Food is fine and service was good, but I wouldn't make a special trip. The outside volcanic bbq (pic) is quite cool although we didn't see it being used.

Surprised at some of the poor reviews on here. Firstly, I have to agree that yes it is hot in the restaurant that has been built on top a volcano which serves food cooked using the heat of the volcano. And I would advise that you dress accordingly. As to the food, was surprised at the reasonableness of the prices... More

Please be aware before you eat here that it is hot inside. The floor is naturally heated by the volcano underneath and there are a lot of glass windows and no aircon. So unless you were born on Mars you will overheat eventually. That said, the views are amazing; the food is fresh and nicely cooked and we found the... More

This restaurant has an amazing view. Food is good though there was not a lot of choice on the menu. There is a very nice show they do with the fire and the geiser.

This is based at the tourist centre of the "Fire Mountains" of Lanzarote, in the Timanfaya national park. Its unique claim to fame is that the food is cooked over a pit dug into the ground surface of a volcano, and it is the heat generated by the volcano alone that does the cooking. The food ranges from sea food... More
