This is a nicerestaurant with great views of the sea and an indoor seating area. The starters were excellent. However, they brought out our main course the very second we had finished the starters! This was a shame because it would have been nice to have a little break to drink our wine and admire the view etc. We felt... More

Entering the restaurant and being welcomed brightens a cloudy day and the food brings a smile to your face.

This is primarily a Fish Restaurant although it does cater for meat lovers also. It is located in a wonderful setting close to the waters edge and there are magnificent views all around. We had the Set Menu for €16.25 which is fantastic value as you get bread, a bottle of water AND a glass of wine along with a... More

El Charcon is a typical local restaurant serving excellent food in a very pretty location. We return here every visit to the island to savour the delicious food and enjoy the delightful location and atmosphere. Staff are very attentive and have a good understanding of dietary issues. The menu is very good serving a good selection of tapas, seafood and... More

Someone recommended us to go to el Charcon and have the tuna and it was a spot on! Amazing lunch, a plate with to big fillets with some "patatas arrugadas" and salad (all arround 12€ ). One of the best tuna I ever had. Lovely local white wine. Really friendly, good service with very nice views to the sea. I... More

The service was very friendly and the seafood very well prepared with fresh ingridients. We went there a couple of times as we stayed in Tabayesco just 5 mins away by car and love taking our time enjoying the food and enjoying the beautiful views. Waiters are all very friendly, would recommend to anybody passing by.

Have been to El Charcon on many occasions, we holidayed in Arrieta last year, this year we drove up from the bottom of the island to have a leisurely lunch after visiting Jameos del Agua. The seafood is always fresh and delicious and simply, but yummily, done. The portion sizes are generous, as are the staff with their help and... More

Came here with family. Fresh fish and seafood, with generous portions. Waiter kindly suggested changes to our choices to ensure portions were adequate to small children.
