We were really expecting much due to the good recommendations but we cannot agree! the food taste is okay but not extraordinary. All courses were served in a rush and we finished with three courses within 1 hour. 2 minutes after the plate was gone,...More

We were here for dinner over Easter, surprisingly many locals. Tasty food, upscale, elegant, a bit pricey.

We ate here on 2 consecutive nights as we were staying in the Parador on a half board basis as part of a walking holiday. We found the food to be excellent as was the service. We found the portions to be more than adequate...More

Limited menu mostly of local dishes. Food was good quality and well presented, but overpriced for what it was. Impressive décor and helpful staff. If like us you were staying at the hotel on a B&B basis, there are better restaurants down in the town.

The biggest challenge at lunchtime is finding staff, as they are very quiet. Once you manage this (or book in advance) service is very good and the quality of the food is excellent

Paradores are normally showcasing local food with a careful choice of produce. La Gomera's is no different - what a great lunch we had there. I strongly recommend their roasted lamb with local spices - you won't regret it! Tip: once you're done, head to...More

Well, if I got it right, you mean the distance from El Balcón de Santa Ana Playa de Santiago, La Gomera, correct? It's about 45' by car to the Hotel/Restaurant Parador de La Gomera, S. Sebastian

Description
Above all, the Gomeran fish casserole. The excellent surrounding sea, its unique crops and characteristic manners are its gastronomy’s main ingredients - simple and tasty. Traditional dishes include watercress soup, ‘almogrote’ (cheese paste), boiled blennies and caramelized milk with palm syrup.
