I have known the Port Bar since it opened. Gone are the days of it being a hub of locals, expats, adventurers, sailors & travellers....staying open to the late hours...great times. I think the owner now aims for cyclists and has dulled it down a bit. However, the fish & chips on a Friday night is fantastic, and if you... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review of our bar and your kind words about our famous Fish and Chips and our no less famous Donka ;). We must say that a great many of the "cyclists" that use our facilities are, actually as you describe, locals, ex pats, adventurers, sailors and travellers and we at The... More

Super friendly english staff, and i had a hangover and discovered fish and chips was all i ever wanted the "day after". Very crunchy fish, covered in light batter, and the chips hand made. Served with all kinds of tartar sauce, and vinegar, plus muschy peas (also first time i tried that)

The battered fish was outstanding. The chips like thick French fries to look at but with the taste of "chip shop" chips - all yummy. Staff friendly. On a busy road. Few smokers at the road side tables. All in all very good.

A nice little bar, decent prices with a bottle of beer at€1.70. The bar has an English food menu with the food home cooked and very good. We had fish & chips and the the chicken and ham pie with chips. The bar has a pool table in the back and TV's. The only downside is that it sits on... More

We just stopped off for a coffee, but it was a nice little cafe near the marina. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the coffee was very nice.

Quaint little bar serving honest home style cooking. Try the ribs with slaw washed down with a cold beer. Thank you Donka who takes good care of service which other places could learn a lot from.

I have eaten here many times, either by myself or with my family and thoroughly enjoyed everything chosen from the mainly British menu or the special's. Be it Chris's fantastic Fish n Chips with mushy peas, definitely the best on the island or Sara's beautiful Stroganoff and Chilli Con Carne, all cooked to perfection. For another taste of home, try the... More

The bar is great: the ambience supremely clean and adorably cosy and the owners and staff extremely friendly, attentive, helpful and kind. The atmosphere is brilliant and the food fresh and delicious, we had an iconic typical British delicacy: fish and chips with mushy peas and just the presentation of the dish, a succulent pile of deep-fried chips sitting alongside...
