We spent many times here having mainly small plates/snacks and drinks. A bustling traditional cafe with tremendous character and history. The hard-working staff were super efficient in taking orders and explaining things. Menus in many languages and a delight to people watch, either inside or immediately outside - or in the larger seating area in the square/Placa. The food was fresh and good as was the local beer and wine all at a very reasonable price, especially for the centre of Palma.

Cafe La Lonja is a pleasant lunch stop in the harbour area of Palma, offering good quality food at very reasonable prices. The outside terrace in the square is broad offering a welcome shade in the midday sun. Atmosphere is relaxed.

Staff were engaging and helpful - by the end of the season you'd think they would have been slighty bored with english tourists muddling their way through the menu but they were lovely. We only had tapas but what we had especially the Tortilla, was delish. Lunch outside in the square was great - v efficient and no pressure to vacate table when you've finished which is nice. The interior of the bar has a few tables and is cosy - perfect for pre dinner drinks in the evening. I guess we went about 5 or 6 times in all but it was right outside the apartment so that's my excuse.

Really bad service. My fiancé and I ordered two sangria and a plate of ham as an aperitif, the drinks arrived immediately as well as the ham. After a 40-minute wait we pointed out the problem several times to the waiters (especially a lady with dark hair) who kept teasing us saying it was in preparation. After a further ten minutes my boyfriend and I decided to leave (despite having just sipped our drinks) as you can not continue drinking something on an empty stomach. We asked the lady with the dark hair for the bill and asked her to pay only for our drinks (since jamon's plate never arrived) and she was absolutely rude and rude. She allowed herself to raise her tone in front of everyone because in her opinion we should have waited given the influx of people. He kept pushing that our drinks were full and we would have to keep waiting, it went against our will to make us leave, in short, his tones contributed most to getting up and leaving.

We happened upon Cafe la Lonja and it was a great find in scorching hot Palma. The interior is charming and authentic, the service first class and the food was tasty, well presented and so reasonably priced. We loved the atmosphere, and the friendly, all female staff, reminded me of the film Green Fried Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café! We managed to go for lunch a second time before we left Palma. If it had been nearer our hotel, reckon we would have gone nearly every day and made it our 'local'. Would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely tapas lunch here sat outside in the sun for the most part. Friendly staff. Good range of tapas we had 7 dishes all excellent, olives and bread and still had room for a desert which were delicious. With two soft drinks and also two coffees total bill €43 which we felt was excellent value. Would definitely recommend and also return when I am next in Palma

Every time we are in Mallorca, we always go here to sit in the outdoor dining area, in a cozy environment. We always order tapas, Warm Bacon Wrapped Dates and Rosé wine. Super delicious. Very nice reception, quick service. For us, it is a must to sit and enjoy here. A visit is highly recommended.

We found this place by searching for cheap restaurants in Palma and I think we struck gold! Very friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, delicious tapas and a wonderful atmosphere in the Square. Would highly recommend and would absolutely return!

Great place in a lovely square. We had coffee and came back for tapas lunch. Food was tasty & good value. Ladies serving didn’t rush us and were super friendly. Defintely a spot to stop at if you’re in the area.

Great bar, snacks and people-watching close to the Catedral de Mallorca. Sat outside in the plaza to give ourselves a break before resuming our long walk back to our hotel on the other side of the marina. Great selection of cocktails and beers, and some tasty snacks. Good service and doesn’t feel terribly ‘tourist-y.’

Set in a picturesque plaza just across from the harbour. La Lonja has tables on the square and a very nice bar opposite. eat in the square then retire to the bar, best of both worlds. Good food attentive owners. Worth a return trip on each of our Palma visits.

Well worth a visit, great location to people watch, fast service and delicious tapas, very good value for money. We went twice at lunchtime and enjoyed everything we ordered but the salt cod with beans and the albondigas were stand out dishes

Our total-go-to when in Palma. Olde world inside- laid back staff and the perfect place to wile away a few hours at lunch or into the night.
Location is excellent but no silly prices here.
Food is simple and good and genuine; value is fantastic.
thank you to all staff-especially Nachos and Raoul for putting up with me talking them to death!
Fab wine choices and beer and the bowl of crips is a must addition with your liquid refreshments.
See you next year.
