Firstly I know the area is a tourist trap but we were hungry. I should have gone with my gut though when I saw the prices were more expensive than the five star hotel we are staying in but as I said we were hungry....Tips for the restaurant: 1. Don’t talk about the customers in a disparaging way without first checking if any of them speak fluent Spanish. 2. Don’t scowl when you ask if the food was good and the answer is no 3. Don’t charge for things that were ordered but were never served 4. Treat all customers the same regardless of nationality Tips for future customers: 1. Avoid this restaurant 2. See tip #1More

Great food, good service , fabulous desert. We had zucchini as a starter, fish and vegan special as main and chocolate cake as a dessert.

Once we were able to have dinner at La Oliva, and enjoy the place in the old town of Ibiza, an emblematic place, Mediterranean food prepared and very well presented, but the best thing about this place is Miguel, the heart of the restaurant, friendly,...kind and very attentive with all the tables. Indispensable staff in a businessMore

A really disappointing experience with La Olivia. We’ve been MANY times before, however this time, we were treated terribly. Firstly, we was told we could only have a table if we booked through a concierge. I.e if we are staying in a 5* hotel. How...elitist. Then, we waited in a queue, where any Spanish people were seated straight away, to book a table for another night. We were told they were fully booked every night apart from 11pm on a Monday night. As I say, this was one of our favourite restaurants with such great memories, but the way we were spoke to, because I believe we were English, was so disappointing. It’s worth saying we tried to so hard to book a table - phoning, Facebook, Instagram. This restaurant is not cheap. It’s one of the most expensive restaurants in Dalt Vila and it’s just a shame we were treated like this.More

Lovely meal sat outside on the bustling street. Portions were generous and food was really tasty-would recommend as somewhere to have good seafood. The crayfish starter and squid main were delicious. Service was also friendly and good. There are street performers who appear on the...street in the evening. Worth booking ahead for the outside tables as popular. Two courses and wine was approx EURO60 each.More

What an extremely disappointing experience at La Oliva recently with regards to how this restaurant now treats certain customers more favourably depending on nationality! I was stood in the queue to see whether a table was available later in the evening and I watched the...‘manager’ turn away several English couples who were also asking if a table was available on the night. Next in the queue were two Spanish females who were also seeing if there was a table on the off chance. The manager spoke to them in Spanish and said wait here and I will find you a table. It’s a shame on the managers part and rather embarrassing for the restaurant that I understood Spanish and knew what he said. His low key hand action to wait and not say anything also gave it away. This is extremely disappointing because this restaurant used to be, for all the years I’ve visited the island, a pretty decent place to eat, but the arrogance and rudeness of the manager to pick who he gives seats to based on where you are from is disgusting and discriminatory. If your English, you may as well give this place a miss because whether there are tables or not, it seems you will be ranked below others and discriminated against because of your nationality. It must also be said that this restaurant has a poor booking process as well. They don’t answer social media requests and don’t have a proper booking system or email. You have a Spanish phone number that seems to ring with no answer - so how you are supposed to book is anyones guess! There are so many nice restaurants within this area that I certainly won’t be back to La Oliva after this experience. I’ll give my custom to a restaurant that doesn’t discriminate and wants all nationalities to enjoy their cuisine. What an absolute shame this restaurant acts this way nowadays. The manager should be ashamed.More

Overall an extremely disappointing evening. After being seated and being initially asked what we would like to drink, my girlfriend asked if there was a Pinot Grigio available and the waitress responding with a very abrupt “we do not sell this” and she then walked...away without taking an order. 5 minutes later we had our drinks order taken by a different waiter along with our food, however this waiter was still putting through another table’s order at this point so we didn’t have his full attention and had to sit and wait for him to finish typing in his order which just seemed ignorant and rude. We were also sat in the alcove across from the main dining area, which at this point was full. Yet there seemed to be no music to create atmosphere and the area was neglected by staff despite having 7 tables sat in there. The menu was limited and the prices seemed quite steep (nearly €30 for a starter) so we expected high quality. I ordered a goats cheese starter and l the squid main and my girlfriend had the burrata starter and the salmon main. Personally my food was enjoyable, particularly the starter, but the main had little to offer other than a literal plate of squid with no side; my girlfriend was disappointed with both her courses. When our plates were cleared there seemed to be no care from the waiter to ask if we enjoyed our food, we were offered dessert menus and we said we would see them. We waited 10 minutes with no menus brought to us, and there was no staff present for us to even ask again. Once we managed to flag someone down we just asked for bill (again this took around 10 minutes to come). The total came to €120 which for 2 courses and 2 alcoholic drinks (one of which was a half pint when I ordered a pint) is what I would consider quite pricey. We paid and there was no thank you from the serving staff, no acknowledgement of us even leaving when we walked out past 3 members of staff including the manager. The prices charged and reviews we’d seen made us think that the service would’ve been of a higher standard but it seemed that we turned up to the wrong restaurant. Truly pretentious and rude staff with no concept of customer service. Would not recommend. We did go to La Torreta 2 nights later to give Old Town another chance and we were blown away by the difference in service and quality. Would strongly recommendMore

Tried to go here one night and couldn’t get a table, settled for elsewhere within the old town walls but wasn’t the best! Made sure to return a few days later and make sure we got a seat here and it was 100% worth it!...Hospitality and food was amazing! Location is stunning and the performances along the street are great! Lovely violinist while eating and drinking. Will be coming here every time I return to ibiza going forward! Attended La Oliva for a 60th birthday party with a table of 14 people. Throughout the whole evening they were so hospitable and made it a really rememberable evening! The food was amazing and the service was superb!! As we are not from the area,...the waiters also recommended other things and places to visit during our time on the Island. We couldn’t thank them enough!More

This restaurant had been highly recommended and when we arrived it was full but fortunately a table had just become available. We had a table outside which meant we could enjoy the ambiance and the excellent music provided by the buskers. Our food was excellent....We shared the courgette carpaccio which had toasted pine nuts, ginger, parmesan and olive oil, which was really really good. My husband then had the spagetti vongole and I had a wonderful corvina cooked in a paper parcel and a thai flavoured creamy sauce. We finished with a vodka sorbet - delicious. And our wine was also excellent. Very professional service and a very well run restaurant. Highly recommendedMore

Can’t recall offhand, but this is a medium to higher end restaurant so I think we paid at least 60-70 euros per head for starter, main and wine.
