My friend and I have the tradition of going here for lunch or dinner every time we are in Donosti. The Chuletón is amazing and the staff are very welcoming, informative and friendly. A definite must visit in San Seb!!

We went there around 8:30 without a reservation on a Monday. Luckily we got a table right away! Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. We had the smoked salmon, calamares and the grilled Cod. Everything was delicious! Especially the Cod! It was simply seasoned with salt and pepper but was cooked to perfection. You know immediately that the fish... More

Did a whole tapas route in this area and this was the place that trumped the rest. Food, price, atmosphere, service... All excellent. We tried their famous "solomillo" and we also had a pintxo of sardines and one of salmon. All were great but the solomillo was spectacular.

On our repeat visits to San Sebastian we tried several restaurants in town, and Gandarias Jatetxea maintains its place among out top 3 sit down favourites. The suckling pig is simply out of this world delicious. The well aged giant steaks come in sizes of your choosing and are cooked to perfection just as ordered. The salads are varied and... More

Recommended by our hotel we had a delicious dinner at this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and efficient and even spoke English. A traditional Spanish restaurant in the Old Town down a pedestrian only street

Raining, we headed into the old town and stumbled upon this, what must be a local hideaway. Past the pinxos bar to the back where free range meat awaited us. Choose your cut (if you dare), the blockman wields his knife, and with cleaver your steak is freed. Locals pour in. You wont be disappointed. Nice wine selection.

Just a heads up. Really disappointed in the way I was treated in this place. I visited it briefly over a few days and they were really congenial when I was eating(overpriced) 'tourist tapas' in the bar...... part of the show for tourist. I went back the next night and took a seat in the restaurant 'tried' to order their... More

First of all, thank you for your criticism. All reviews are helpful as we are always willing to improve our service. Regarding your problem in our restaurant, we consider there was a misunderstanding: we would never offer different products to locals and tourists as that would go against our work ethic and philosophy. In our restaurant we treat everybody equally,... More
