We dined here twice May 2016. Lovely atmosphere in rear dining room. Front tapas bar is a zoo. Food nice, reasonably priced and great service. Lamb chops great. Steak excellent. But, the fried green peppers were our first and really wonderful.

After startimg with a delicious lobster salad, we had an exquisite perfectly cooked turbot. The service was excellent and made great recommendations for wine. We are going back tonight to try more dishes!

If your looking for a great basque experience this is it. Don't let them seat you downstairs if possible. The service and food are terrific. The location is right in the middle of old town which is a blast to explore before and after dinner. The fish dinners are super special

One of the premier stops on Eskerne's pintxos tour. Not to be missed. Do not miss the green peppers.

A very good seafood place. Oysters and almejas are always a delight. As a main pick a nice fish, something a bit larger fitting 3 or 4 people is a good choice. In the end the bill will not be low but you will have enjoyed great quality.

Visting San Sebastiaan, Spain, we choose this restaurant, which is a sea food restaurant and is located in the old town. The place was packed, reason why the hotel made a reservation for us. Our server Garon, was really really friendly, very helpfull. We noticed when a bottle of wine fell and broke at another table, how she took over, came... More

It is hard to eat a full meal in SS after going to all the pintxos bars both at Bernardo and at other bars in the old town. After several nights of pintxos hopping we decided to have a traditional dinner. And we are glad we chose Bernardo's. After a delicious, complementary Iberico ham plate, we started with the mixed... Ate there twice. Quick, friendly service. Order from the kitchen - the hot food is best. Shrimp bruschetta, octopus, and grenadillas. And cider, of course!

We stumbled across this bar whilst working our way along Calle del Puerto and were pleasantly surprised. Being a fully fledged restaurant and frequented by locals, the pinxtos were excellent - particularly the seafood and whilst there was a good atmosphere is wasn't overly crowded. We didn't find it any more expensive than other decent pinxto bars in the old... More

Try the Octupus, especially if you are not a fan. You will fall in love. The Shrimp brochette with chopped onions, red and Green peppers and bacon are to die for. The Pimientos de Gernika - fried green peppers from this area were my son's absolute favorite and a must have for all. Surprisingly typical Cider (alcoholic drink) from the... More
