I came here with my girlfriend last week. A welcoming, homely atmosphere. The owners were very kind and patient (my Spanish is so-so) and made us feel instantly welcome. The food was superb, particularly the fish that we had as a main, I'd go as...far as to say that it's the tastiest fish I've ever had. Very nice fruit tart for dessert too. If you find yourself in Bilbao, you must go.More

We enjoyed our meals/lunches at Bikanti. IT felt like eating in the livingroom of a lovely couple. It felt good, the dishes were good but not spectaculair. If you are at Guggenheim and want to have an Astrurian lunch go there, but I think there...are more places in Bilbao to have a same lunch for the same, or better privéMore

Nice traditional place serving OK food. Not sure why, but with only one menu, we were the only people in the restaurant not offered a desert, but that may have been down to my poor Spanish, and total lack of Basque.

We had booked a table and were welcomed by the owners warmly. The lunch menu had 2 courses with a lot of choice. I had the Sea Bass which was absolutely brilliant. We had a bottle of wine, Coffees and a dessert. 45 euros for...two of us. Marvelous value and a very jolly experience.More

We had to make a reservation in advance but it was definitely worth. The food was great - lomo con patatas, merluza and higado de ternera. Everything the best quality and delicious. The staff is very friendly!

2 minutes from our hotel we stopped here for breakfast. We had fun trying to order some food with the lovely waitress. We managed to order coffee, cake and a roll with a Spanish tortilla. We visited as it had such great reviews and we were not disappointed. The welcome was great and although fully booked, we were squeezed in for an early lunch. All the food was home made and as it was a Monday the menu was meat...based as no fresh fish. The starters were delicious, the meat dishes perfectly cooked and the desserts really good and freshly made for the day. This was some of the tastiest food we have eaten in Spain on our trip. Thank you!More

Amazing food and service Came at 12.30pm for lunch, the lovely lady behind the bar told me lunch was 1pm but would book me a table for one. I returned at 1pm and she and the owner gave me a nice welcome. They recommended the...menu del dia. I could not speak Spanish nor they English so I asked him to recommend and choose. I started with white beans an chorizo so tasty I was concerned the portion was too large but it was surprisingly light. They gave me a large basket of fresh crusty bread. I ordered a bottle of white wine which was good. My main the owner told me was typical Basque fish. It was a clay dish sizzling with Sprats and garlic. They were so fresh and absolutely delicious could eat them every day. They asked if I wanted a sweet which I declined but they gave me coffee all this with the wine only €17 unbelievable value. The decor is basic typical Spanish if you are looking for a posh fancy ambiance then not for you. This place is all about the fresh amazing food and lovely warm friendly welcome. I wish I could give it 10 stars. Thank you for a lovely lunch.More

I went to this place and upon arrival they told me that they closed 20 minutes ago. After a quick chat and me saying that I will leave Bilbao before they opened again, they decided to still serve me the menu. They were kind, friendly...and the starter (fish soup with potatoes) and the fish (I guess sea bass) were amazing and cheap (15.50 Euro for the fish menu including a dessert).More
