I was there with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday based on online references. Our experience was even better than what we expected. The service is attentive & professional, taking care of you but allowing time & space to feel comfortable. The restaurant...features food from Menorca as their root. We went for the weekend menu, including starter, main & dessert, price being determined by the main selected. We added a bottle of white wine & coffees & herbal infusions. The bill without tips came at 28 € pp, which is excellent value for the experience. They also have other menu options, including a tasting menu, which are explained in their website. The menu is varied but not overwhelming, & they cover fish, meats & vegetarian options. We tasted the mushroom risotto with foie, duck & cheese salad and the aubergine cake as starters; pork pluma with apple chutney, grilled monkfish, squid with almond sauce and lamb "mollejas" (gizzards) as mains; and petit choux with mango sauce, raspberry cake and chocolate with mandarin as desserts. All of them were gorgeously tasty, beautifully and simply presented and the portions were very well balanced in terms of quantity. The six of us ended up enjoying the experience very much, and we will come back again for sure. Booking in advanced is recommended, being a Saturday evening the restaurant was fully booked, and the dining area is medium to small size. If you are from Bilbao, or visiting, I strongly recommend you to give Nura a go.More

Turned up 9ish Sat pm- place almost empty on arrival but filled up with locals later. Really friendly, waiter had little English but managed to explain menu to us non Spanish speakers with good humour. Three reasonably priced set menus including drink - great food,...nice atmosphere, recommended.More

I visited here with a group as a guest of locals. The restaurant is on a quiet side street in the San Francisco district, just over the river from La Vieja (the old historic centre). The decor & vibe is cool, but not overly-trendy or...austere. It's also quite small, which makes it feel quite intimate. We had a 4-course meal, and everything was delicious. The service was friendly, and I appreciated our waiter's patience, given somefof our group's tiredness and fussiness). Great value-for-money too. Recommended!More

Had a nice 3 course lunch on a Sunday in Bilbao. The price of your 3 course depends on your entree selection. I had a chopped deer patty with yucca crisps which was quite good and perhaps could have used a touch of salt. My...starter was an aubergine loaf which was augmented by a dollop of a somewhat spicy sauce on the side which nicely completed the dish. Kathy had a salmon over puff pastry starter which was delicious. Her vegetarian patty entree had a lovely nut sauce which completed it nicely. Our house wines were disappointing, as we prefer more robust flavors in our wines. Bread was a nice baguette (pays to be closer to France! LOL!) Both chocolate desserts were exemplary....a Spanish version of profiterole, pudding filled puff pastry covered with chocolate sauce with vanilla ice cream on the side and small fudgy thick disc of chocolate over creme anglaise.....both delicious! I think the minimal use of salt is deliberate and will appeal to some more than others. It is a healthier way to eat.....More

Great place in a quiet street. The meals and wine are great, especially considering the price (€60 for two three course menu's including wine and water). Also, lots of vegeterian options. Please note there is nog English menu.

It is almost a vegetarian restaurant with a complete choice. Nice atmosphere and calm environment. Not too hard to find and away from the crowd.

We recently ate at Nura. Our 3 course lunch, including 2 carafes of house wine, cost 40 Euros. The food was excellent. Surprisingly, we were the only diners. While the address is not in Bilbao's old town, it is only a short walk away, over...the river. The area is a little down-at-heel, but we felt perfectly safe walking there and back.More
