I recommend to try the hamburger of "buey" with soft red peppers and the corn fries (patatas de maiz). Went here for dinner tonight and was really not impressed... The staff were really nice and friendly but the food was only average. Had a burger and it was just slightly better than McDonald's or something similar... Stick to the pinxtos, they're much better

Nice place for the locals, nobody spoke as English however there was an English menu and it was relatively easy to order from. Had nuggets but they were some sort of cheap frozen nuggets that were not very good, was hoping for home made but...I think that would be asking a bit too much. Stopped in there today as a break from pintxos and it was really nice, a good burger which was home made, good fries although they looked packet bought. My only criticism would be that the cheese and the bacon on my burger didn't really add...anything as they were pretty flavourless and they didn't rest the burger before putting it in the bun. The staff all seemed friendly and even checked my burger was well done enopugh through the medium of google translate, nice change from the standard Basque fare. Fries and veggie burger were good, veggie hot dog not so good. Large selection of sauces to choose from. Prices are cheap and staff friendly. Lacked atmosphere, maybe it's better in the evening.

In a city where most restaurants are culinary temples to all things porcine (e.g. 7 different forms of ham, bacon and sausage at our hotel breakfast buffet) it was refreshing to find a place that catered for vegetarians- the tofu hotdog and vegan burgers were...very welcome and very good. There are some 15 or so sauces to try with your hot dogs or burgers. The place is small, has an interesting city themed mural on three walls and the staff are cheerful. It's not the finest dining experience but it delivers all it promises.More
