This is hands-down my favorite sidreria in Oviedo. If you want the real thing, come here. Alberto himself pours the cider for you. This sets the tone for your whole experience, we have never been disappointed and we come here a lot! The seafood is...excellent, big portions and very reasonably priced. Our favorites are the chipirones encebollados, cachopo, and pulpo a la brasas. Many times, Alberto has an excellent fish of the day (like lubina - sea bass cooked whole for two). For what it’s worth I’m an American living here in Oviedo with my Asturian boyfriend, we both love this place! Thank you, Alberto!More

Asturian cheeses, local fish, Jamon iberico. My family’s first dinner lit up the rest of the stay. Central location with inside and outside seatings. Good attentive service. Honest waitress stopped us from ordering too much, go half portions, or share dishes she suggested. We didn’t...feel as tourists but locals. 10 days in Gijon was delightful and Sidreria Alberto was one of the hi lights.More

This is a very popular place amongst locals. At lunch i couldn't find a table, so i tried again at dinner. I had a "revuelto" of prawns as first dish and grilled sole as second. It wasn't bad, but a bit expensive for the type...of place (tourism oblige). What I liked most here was that there were local people as customers, drinking cider. And on this place, one still drain the glass to the floor after drinking the cider that the waiter has served pouring the cider high from a bottle to the glass down near the ground ... (don't forget, one drinks all the liquid immediately after it has been served, and drains the remaining drops out of the glass, preparing for the next "shot"!)More

We met friends to catch up and have a nice lunch. We all were very pleased with our meals. The "Sidreria Restaurants" all serve a fermented apple cider that Is locally produced and has quite a tradition. It even has to be poured into your...glass a special way. Of course we all had to support this effort. While it was fine, I do not plan to replace my wine with the local Sidreria offering. Overall a very good experience, reasonably priced and excellent service. Would recommend this restaurant.More

This is a small local restaurant with amazing food. Please please try Parradilhada de Marisco. All seafood is fresh and very well cooked. We loved it.

We had the paella which was wonderful, lots of fresh seafood. Recommended! A contrast to the one we tried in Navarra, with pasta rather than rice, which was disappointing.

It's a small place, which even my wife (who is a local) would normally just walk by. But, we read the reviews and decided to try. So glad we did. Fresh, well prepared seafood with knowledgeable and friendly staff. We will be back!

It is a small place, not fancy, would have probably never visited if not for the Trip Advisor reviews. The food was absolutely delicious, the wine selection was great, the prices reasonable. Highly recommend.

I was looking forward to eating here after reading all the reviews. I came here for dinner looking for something to that I saw in one of the pictures but that particular menu is only offered during the day. The waiter was very nice and...tried to accommodate me by making a similar seafood soup with macaroni pasta. I was quite disappointed as there were not a lot of seafood and the broth was quite salty for the price of 10 euros. Surprisingly the dinner came with a bottle of the sidra which was quite interesting to drink and watch as they pour you a shot each time. The foods ordered by the other tables looked really good however...fresh steamed crabs and grilled scallops. I tried one if the scallops and it was delish.More

Asked for recommendation and waiter showed us the, massive, monkfish. Beautifully cooked. Excellent ambience. Very Spanish and very good value. The place to go for off the tourist trail quality food. Not at bit touristified. Loved it.
