Description
At Easter, we decided to take a trip up to Sevilla and Donana, and stayed overnight in El Rocio. We weren't intending to spend a lot of money, but most of the restaurants seemed to be closed and we ended up in the Aires de Donana, which has a sensational view. It was a poor choice. The view was sensational. We arrived just before it got dark and it slowly got dark with the church lit up in front of us. The food, service and prices were appalling. Plates were dropped onto the table - almost thrown at us. We had a child with us who ordered ham, eggs and chips from the menu. I know, not very Spanish, but it was on the menu at 15 Euros. When it arrived, the ham, was a half inch square of Cerrano. I ordered a mixed salad as a starter. Usually a real treat in Spain. it had half a mini gem which was sodden with water, two slices of unripe tomato (I've never come across unripe vegetables in Spain), and more that I can't remember. I didn't eat it as it was tasteless, but expensive.

Two of our party ordered fish. What we didn't realise is that they use the old trick here of putting a price on the fish, and then in small letters telling you that this is for 100g. You are then shown a fish which you nod your head at, an if the fish is 1kg, your price is 10 times what was on the menu

The place was almost empty. Two other tables, both couples and tourists. Despite this, we waited almost an hour for our starters. My son asked for a medium steak and received one that was at best blue. This was then taken away and cooked a bit longer so that when it came back, the rest of his meal was cold.

I'd hate anyone else to go have as bad a meal as we did, so can you please post the details of this restaurant to warn others.
