Second visit in three days. Fantastic attentive service. Quality unfussy food not aimed at tourists, but enjoyed by locals and visitors.

OK. This was a very different experience compared to the rest of our two weeks in Spain. On the recommendation of our Alhambra guide we had lunch at this bar in the center of Granada. Unlike the kind, welcoming demeanor of most if not all restaurant and hotel staff in our travels, the waiters here were brusque, to the point... More

We had our last dinner in Granada in Bodegas Castaneda and it was very good. We had two ensaladas, two paellas and a plate of mixed iberian cheese, all delicious. The final price was honest, recommended.

Wonderful jewel we found right in downtown Granada! Food is amazingly affordable, very fast service, very busy... They take reservations, I recommend make reservations outdoors after watching a Flamenco show a block away at 10:00 PM; great for people watching

I forgot names, but the food was great, and the good mood of the waitress make us have a good time. Due to Semana Santa the place was crowd, but the captain could find a corner for us. This is the kind of restaurant I want close to my house in Miami...

You do not get any more Spanish than Bodegas Castaneda. The atmosphere, noise, the conversations, the wonderful food and fantastic wines. The prices are not bad either. Do not go to Bodegas Castaneda for peace and quiet or an intimate meal for two. After 8pm you will be eating and drinking standing up probably having to shout your order across... More

It may always be busy, but there's always a space somewhere. Great food and drink, some of the best tapas in Granada, superb service and excellent value.

On our wonderful Tapas Tour, with granadapicnictours, the first bar we went to was Bodegas Castaneda this bar is one of if not the oldest in Granada. In addition to our drinks Hana orded 2 boards of tapas a hot and a cold. Each board had 6 to 10 different tapas. Always packed after 8:pm. Locals love this bar but... More

Yes, this place is relatively cheap. Yes, it is convenient. But --ugh-- the food was just so basic. Nothing special here -- but if you want croquetas and a tortilla (the egg kind not the flour kind), you can get that and be full. Just disappointing on food quality overall. Only reason this wasn't a 2 was due to the... More

This place honors the old tradition of free tapas with your drink. This place is an institution in Granada and is one of my favorite places in Granada (I go every year to Granada). You will rub elbows with the locals. Don't expect to be waited on hand and foot. Learn how to smile and make a little joke and... More
