A large group of us had an arranged meal with work. The selection of food was superb and for mains it was beef all round. What can I say, it was absolutely delicious- a little in the rare side for me, but the taste was...exceptional. We had 5 courses in total and every one was delectable. The tapas which started set the taste buds on a journey into food heaven. Definitely recommendMore

Visited with a group of International friends -- the restaurant was empty at 21h. Our waiter was pleasant however when required he was with his colleagues talking and it was at times difficult to get attention. Food was basically ok. Excellent wine. This used to...be such a great restaurant in the past. When our bill came it was presented by i assume the restaurant manager who was totally disinterested in how we enjoyed our evening and food quality. Do restaurants like this really require such unpleasant staff? We all are Spanish speakers .More

Food is excellent, but we would have expected a more courteous waiter, especially for a meal which cost nearly 70 euros for two dishes, one bottle of wine and a coffee. I must say that makes a difference between a good restaurant and an average...one. The restaurant was far from being full, so I see no excuse.More

Simple and good traditional food of the region. We went twice during our week in Torremolinos. We had roast leg of milk-fed lamb, veal brochette, lamb chops, and goulash. Roast lamb was my definite favorite: crispy skin and tender juicy meat - just out of...this world. Service attentive though not intrusive. Wine list rather simple but okay. Nice terrace, bit off the beaten path, thus quiet.More

We were hopeful of this restaurant and went in at lunchtime to book for an evening. There were no tables outside in March as it was a bit cool in the evening so booked for inside. The menu looked ok so we were looking forward...to a good meal. We arrived about 9.00pm and requested a drink before eating and then chose a starter to share - croquetas, 7 of which duly arrived rolling around the plate. We both ordered leg of lamb with a jacket potato and a bottle of red wine. The ambiance of the place was awful and the staff visited the table as little as possible - total bill 87 euros.More

For my birthday meal, we looked to spoil ourselves and turned to the Michelin guide to see where the best place to eat could be. This place popped up. There was no warm welcome, we were pointed to a table. The staff were cold and...unfriendly, with judgemental glances coming from the kitchen and bar. The appetiser seemed like a huge dollop of egg mayonnaise with far too much mayonnaise. We both ordered fillet mignon hoping for the perfect cut of meat when in truth this was something that you would expect on a Sunday dinner. Poor quality cut they didn’t taste fresh and wasn’t well seasoned. Only seemed to be a choice of baked potatoes or chips to go with the meal, no veg. We asked for a red wine to go with the steak but the waiter didn’t seem to be able to help, instead was more concerned on what we would spend on it. We waited at least 30 mins after our main, finishing our bottle of wine before the waiter came to see us, by this time we had decided not to bother with dessert and asked for the bill. Surprised to see this as Michelin recommended, not great value for money, bad atmosphere, poor serviceMore

Found this by accident. Food good and simple. Old style Spanish restaurant specialists in beef and lamb.

I had high expectations for this place although I thought it was ranked higher here than it actually is. I went for their supposed specialty dish, the baby lamb - they brought a tray of it out to show me, so clearly it was already...cooked and reheated for my order. It was very plain and chewy, massively disappointing overallMore

This is the traditional Spanish/Andalucian restaurant which you must visit if you are in Torremolinos. There were many locals and not many tourists inside. Try jamon, artichokes, garlic soup, roasted leg of lamb and ask the waiter for advice about some great red wine from...the wine list. We loved El Botijo!More

Always when I visit the Costa Del Sol the first visit is El Botijo. The wines are excellent and so is the meat. After having visitef this restaurant all other visits will be fish and or seafood related. We startef with an eccellent tomato salad...with avocado and Melba. The tomatos were really delicious and I thought they were called toro. The pata negra is also part of remembering why we love Spanish food. The lamb overhere is tender and delicious as are the kidneys. Together with the great wines this is always the start of a pleasant stay.More
