Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came across the restaurant looking for somewhere for lunch on our last day. The menu is short but contains some wonderful items. The tortilla, chorizo, Morocco chicken and tomato with tuna were exceptional and very reasonably priced with house wine €14

We went there for breakfast. The breakfast plate with 1,5 bread and different pates and marmalades, and a coffee/drink was only 3,50 euro. Simple but cheap and a bit different from other places. Would have been nice to get presentation what the different pates consisted of (but now we had to use our tasting buds to identify it which also is nice). Some outside seatings and many tables inside in the restaurant and shop.

Very friendly staff and delicious food! We aren’t locals but the waitress ensured that we fully understood what we could order and explained everything in detail. The food was 10/10 and the prices are more than fair. Highly recommend.

+Authentic local Malagan restaurant in the old town + They respect their heritage and serve old school Malagan dishes like arabic style snails(eventhough for me the broth of the snails was too harsh/bitter tasting). + Nice antique decor! + It was nice and cool inside the restaurant (in March) due to the thick stone walls. The place reminds of a cave :) + Good pulpo a la gallega!

A must visit , small traditional tapas bar. Excellent service , had to queue but it’s a popular place to eat so that was nothing . Breakfast was simple, home made Pates served in and egg box with a large piece and a half of toast .we found the presentation quirky and charming. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Malaga.

A popular spot for breakfast, queued out the door. Menus all in Spanish. No choice for breakfast; it was €3 for a slice of toast with a cardboard egg carton of toppings that included 3 meat (think whipped chorizo), tomato, marmalade, apple sauce and butter. A lovely coffee was also included in the price! Absolute bargain. The setting is quirky with lots of kitchen items for sale but more of a bric-a-brac style. Nice local spot, a hidden gem. Wouldn't be the same if it had lots of tourists.

Lovely, simple menu del dia for 11 euros - tomatoes in a tasty olive oil dressing, lentil soup, tortilla, yoghurt dessert plus bread and a beer. We sat at one of the outside tables in a quiet, shady side street. Great for people watching! It was refreshing to enjoy such a simple menu with no choice and as non meat eaters the menu was perfect. Service was great though not somewhere to eat if you're in a hurry.

I found the place almost by chance because I was struck by the entrance which I initially mistook for a shop selling old things. In reality it is both an exhibition with the sale of old tools and various objects and a simple place where breakfast is served until 12 at a very low cost. After 12 you can order for lunch. Excellent traditional Andalusian food served among dangling cages, mismatched tables and chairs, grandmother's cupboards full of junk. Try the chorizo all'inferno; a blanched sausage served at the table on a rack resting on a terracotta pig. The cooking time is up to the customer, turning it from time to time after the waitress has set the grill on fire. 😄 Very honest costs. I liked it a lot.

An important clarification, it is a small bistro located within an antique flea market, so fans of bling bling and influencers may not like it. Really authentic place, with simple and good home cooking. Low prices for customers with small budgets. There are many locals who have made it their canteen. The interior room is incredible cluttered with typewriters, sewing machines, old bags, trinkets from another time and a good layer of dust! Chorizo in the flame in a pottery in the shape of a pig, it's worth seeing...

Very cozy place with an atmosphere reminiscent of the past. I really liked the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food. They have a menu of the day and tapas The quality and flavor of the food is very good, whatever you order, it is all very delicious. Highly recommended.

Wow! Most impressed. I too stumbled across it, it looks more like an antique shop than a place to eat. The house white wine was lovely (house red or white is all the options 😃). I had the tuna with tomato’s, pork Malaga style and fresh anchovies in lemon and olive oil. All very tasty. I’d definitely return if I could find it again!

This little place is tucked away in a cul de sac and I only found it because I needed shade and a quick bite. Boy was I glad. I arrived just after 3.30 they close at that time but they looked after me anyway. Charming , friendly and a great chef, they have the whole package set in an antiquarian setting, where you can learn much of the old Spanish ways of life. The Moroccan chicken was the ultimate taste of North Africa. Tomatoes sourced with olive oil and herbs, tuna and seasoned, a total heavenly experience. If you can’t together the simple things in life right, the rest is out of reach. They won hands down.

Without doubt one of the best places to find quality, typically Spanish cuisine. An atypical decoration, a very limited menu, but the quality and flavors are there. Small downside, the lack of organization in the service.

If you're looking for the real deal on Málaga produce and tradition, then this is the place to be for breakfast. Home made jams, pates and preserves. Wonderful bread and strong coffee. It doesn't get better. A must while in Málaga.

It was the first breakfast in Malaga and the first pleasant surprise! A unique serving proposal, low price and pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff, willing to joke. Good service! A beautifully decorated space, you can spend good minutes visiting the restaurant's rooms.
