This must be the best bar in Malaga! We’ve been in Malaga for 2 weeks and visited La Tranca almost every night, sometimes for food and drinks and sometimes for drinks only. The food is delicious and very good value and the drinks are too....The atmosphere is amazing and I think this is partly due to the wonderful bar staff who are all very friendly, kind and treat everyone the same - locals and tourists, they also seem to be having a great time themselves which all adds to the brilliant atmosphere. It gets very crowded, especially on weekends but we always managed to find a perch. Please go and support this gem of a bar, it’s fabulous (they play good music too!)More

This is one of my favourite places, we always come when in Málaga. A fantastic mix of great food, atmosphere and superb, friendly staff. You may not like or know much about Spanish pop music before you go in but you will by the time...you leave. Superb, until next time vamos los Trancosas!More

We arrived for a beer and tapas and luckily a couple left their seats at the bar and we took them. A wonderful smiling barman brought us beers. My Spanish is rubbish but his English was great. I asked him to choose us 4 tapas....All were really lovely. The beers and the tapas were perfect and the venue just right, with outstanding service. The bar staff were having a great time greeting friends arriving and joking with each. A great vibe, great food and great beer, and top class service.More

I love this place. Every time I am staying close or in Malaga I will visit this lovely tapas bar. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, i will be in this bar! Such friendly, helpful staff, great wine and food, and an atmosphere...you only find in Spain. Till next time La Tranca...save my bar stall.More

Fantastic Tapas Bar! They don’t speak a lot English, I don’t speak a lot Spanish,…but we get perfectly along! Taste of the Tapas (specially Langustinos) and the price level are mui perfecto! Super friendly staff, I felt very welcome. Thank you!

Very local, crowded, cheap caña, good spareribs. Very hard to get a seat, mostly local people, not kids friendly, located downtown

Very busy with Malaga Feria revellers. Good atmosphere and good tapas at reasonable prices… what’s not to like! Bit of work going on in the road outside at the moment but still easily accessible from centre.

Very good tapas, it is worth trying different flavours. Interesting decor. Nice and friendly service. The original way to save the bill (chalk on the table- if you want). We recommend it!

We came back for another good time and were unpleasantly surprised. The staff were uninterested to say the least. It was a Tuesday and okay it was not the weekend but hey your staff need to be attentive to their clients 7/7. Some work needed...I think. Rather disappointed BUT we will try again, as alway in Malaga. Fingers crossed.More

We saw this bar recommended on YouTube and were excited to try it. We got there around 7 pm and sat at the bar. There were five other customers and six staff. We ordered vermouth and drank it. Then we ordered shrimp skewers. We sat...for over thirty minutes. No one spoke to us or asked us if we wanted another drink. Three of the staff were talking to two customers. We finally gave up on the shrimp and paid for the drinks and left. No response from anyone. Very disappointed.More
