Myself along with wife and children went for dinner at Maurya restaurant and experience exemplary services Their food was absolutely delicious and waiter staff was wonderful. I’d love to visit the place again. You can go with your friends, family, partner or whosoever you wish to. Try their various delicious dishes. I have tried other Indian restaurants in the area but find Maurya restaurant best in taste. We would highly recommend it to everyone!!

Fantastic food and superb service. The staff were so friendly and professional and made us feel very welcome, as well as suggesting new dishes we hadn’t tried before. Everything we tried was incredible. We have had Indian from other local restaurants but this is our new favorite.

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends who have holiday homes in the area.It is a pleasant restaurant tucked away on a side road convenient to the Sol Marbella Estepona,Marriott,Senator and Globales Playa Estepona hotels.
We are big fans of Indian cooking and we were highly impressed at the high standard of cooking with dishes from most major regions in India.We would agree with all the reviewers prior to this one.It is a remarkable find.
It is run by a friendly and knowledgeable Indian family and the welcoming Irish front of house, Kathy is always welcoming and chirpy.
They also do take away and we will be making this a regular visitor whenever we are in the area.3 times already in the last 10 days will tell you how much we have enjoyed our meals here.
I hope they get the support necessary for a restaurant to ensure they become a permanent venue in the locale

The menu and reviews for this restaurant were encouraging so I booked a table via Whatsapp. When we arrived the restaurant was about 1/4 full. We had to wait a while to order drinks and then our food but that was OK. A couple were serving the drinks and and a younger man taking the orders. I think he was probably the only one with good english. Our starters arrived reasonably quickly and tasted OK ... so far so good. Then we're not quite sure what happened. Other people arrived, were seated and consequently after a while left as no orders were taken. 90 mins after we arrived our main courses arrived and to be honest were not like any indian food we have ever had, no blended sauces just large chunks of everything. By this time we had lost the will to live as well as our appetites. Everyone now and again we'd hear clattering from the kitchen and the woman stood propping open the door as we watched the flames go up. Nobody seemed particualrly happy or relaxed which made the atmosphere quite tense. We didn't eat much of the food so eventually caught the woman's eye to ask for the bill. After a while she same and said we would have to wait 10 mins for the bill to come as they were "busy busy"!! It seemed the same young man who took the orders was also the chef and also the only one who could prepare the bill so we had to wait for him to douse the flames before preparing ours. Such a shame.

Horrible food, prepared for sure from pre-mix. The waitress was extremely rude and was sitting with friends and giggling, while customers get pissed claiming to be number 1 restaurant 😂. Food has a sweet taste and chilly added on top on the name of spices, the Paneer was old at least 2-3 day for sure ( became hard & rubbery) drove an hour from Tarifa to Estepona, I regret.
Even after seeing an annoyed customer, the waitress/ owner came and said “oh I was with you all the time, what’s wrong”. Wow!!!! They offered me the machine to pay and had no courtesy or even sense of customer service if a customer is not happy. Choose at your own risk.

We are very sorry to hear your review, and it is with the greatest respect that we feel this is very untrue to the waitress and the food. We take our service and food very seriously!
However, if you feel this was the case we are sad that it wasn’t brought to our attention at the time!

Visited Maurya last night with friends for my wife’s birthday and were not disappointed one bit. We were a little early but the warm greeting from front of house (Kathy) made us feel very welcome. We eat a lot of Indian food as well as cooking it and the food we were presented with was extremely good. The levels of flavour throughout all the dishes was superb and it was obvious all the ingredients and spices were super fresh. I tasted all six dishes and every one were delicious. I don’t think I’ve effervesced over a review quite as much before, and can’t wait to return while we’re here. I also thought the meal and drinks were very well priced as well. Thank you chef for paying so much attention to our meal.

This restaurant is probably one of the best Indian restaurants we have eaten in! The food was excellent and so tasty. The ambience inside the restaurant is perfect being being nicely decorated and with very relaxing background music all adds to the lovely setting. We are only on the area for a week and ate at the Maurya a couple of days ago, we are leaving to go back to UK tomorrow so decided to go back to the restaurant on our last evening as we enjoyed it so much. We would highly recommend this restaurant and it is fully deserving of its very high rating on trip advisor!

This restaurant is in our neighbourhood, but we had no idea it was there until introduced by friends a couple of weeks ago. The interior is tastefully decorated, a cosy spot in the winter months, I imagine, and air-conditioned in the summer. There is a small terrace for those who prefer to eat outdoors.
The service is friendly, but professional and everything we've tried there so far has been delicious. The food is prepared from scratch so can take a little longer, but there are plenty of options for tasty nibbles while you wait. Portion sizes are perfect - you come away full, but not stuffed!
So glad to have found Maurya! We'll be back!

Having recently moved to the area we were very keen to try out our local restaurants and wow are we glad this is on our doorstep.
We received a very warm welcome from Cathy who took the time to explain the specials and also welcome us to the area.
We used to own an Indian restaurant so obviously can be very fussy when it comes down to the quality of the food and we were not disappointed.
Everything is freshly prepared using only the finest of ingredients.
My husband had prawn puri and I the chicken pakora to start and they were exquisite.
We then followed with a chicken bhuna and chickpea curry again delightful. The pilau rice is delicate and fluffy, the raita prepared exactly as requested and the nan bread is to die for.
The only thing that almost ruined our evening was an extremely unpleasant gentleman at the next table who from reading the review from naughty.. I believe it may be.. he stormed into the restaurant in a fury, demanded service from the waitress and when his food was brought to the table he received a call on his phone , screamed at the waitress ran out , got in his car and sped of at almost 100 miles an hour almost knocking someone over……..
I say this as I read his review the day after our visit and I meant to post this then but didn’t have time.
You all must visit this delightful restaurant and taste it’s wonderful food . It will certainly be one of our regular restaurants from now on.

Exceptional cooking and service at this family restaurant. The food was beautifully cooked and presented and the service was warm and welcoming. The price rating of ££££ is wrong - more like ££, making this a great value night out

We had such of pleasant dining experience at Maurya . The food was freshly prepared, cooked to perfection, served impeccably and tasted absolutely delicious. From the moment we arrived the service was beyond outstanding. The restaurant itself was spotless. We will be back !!

As recommended by a friend, we decided to eat here and experience Indian Cuisine. Everything was superb! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and neat. We’ll be back for sure and will recommend it to others.

I really enjoyed eating here. Some of the best Indian food I've had in a while. The service was very good too. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Best authentic food so far in the city. The food here is pretty delicious. I have tried most of the indian restaurants in town but I think here i got the best quality and quantity for a decent price.

During our first night in Malaga, Spain, my wife and I hit the JACKPOT by dining at the Five Star Maurya Indian Restaurant. My wife had the Garlic Chilli Chicken, and I had the Maruya Mixed Biryani. Both meals were extraordinary. The spices and flavors created an amazing “explosion of flavors” in our mouths. This is a tribute to Chef Souravi who appropriately designated both meals as Chef Specials. While Chef Souravi's culinary skills are second to none, we were equally impressed with the service we received from our Waiter, Pankaj. Pankaj made us feel at home with his exceptional customer service. He is the perfect compliment to the Chef. They are a Dynamic Duo.

Stylish, upmarket Indian restaurant that offers a quality dining experience. Lovely interior though it is their terrace that is something rather special. Staff are very customer focused. Pricing is rather top end but this only reflects the quality of the dining experience.
