It's decor makes a change from the dark brown wood and a olde worlde design. Bright shiny and youthful despite me savagely pushing up the average age. A good selection of wines by the glass drew us back a few times. On two evening visits...we ate sparingly due to large lunches. A great (both quality and quantity) plate of fried anchovies and a particularly good mushroom risotto. Not full meals but both indicated very competent cooking. Delicious food. Our group had very picky eaters and the restaurant was easily able to accommodate. Wide range of delicious Spanish (Andalusian) dishes which were prepared with their own unique flare. Service was very fast. Staff were very honest about the portions, when I wanted to order more than I could chew 😃 They even agreed customize my salmorejos. Best fried calamari I had in the entire trip.

We just had what is possibly our best meal in Andalucía, and we have eaten our way through this region of the country. Los Taco de Merluza, el risotto and the Berenjenas were perhaps better than we’ve had anywhere else. And the portions are big...enough to share. Highly recommended!! Great traditional Andalusian food! I recommend the asparagus with almonds. The service was fantastic as well. You should make a reservation to make sure you are able to get seated.

What an amazing restaurant. The food was delicious and the restaurant had a great ambience. The food is true local food from Córdoba and was delicious. The waiter, Manuel, went above and beyond to make sure we were loving our experience.

Both my wife and I loved taberna la montillana. Excellent food, specifically the Mazamorra !! Well worth a try. Staff were all very helpful and nice to us. Make sure to ask about the local wines and liquors. Definitely going back Kevin
