This very old and traditional restaurant offers traditional german food without any fancy additions. I tried the Hausgemachte Rinderroulade mit Rotkohl und Thüringer Klößen and it is not bad at all. Service is distant and not really superfriendly. The interior is simple but everything is...More

The location is great, directly on the central square, but the service was very slow and the food was terrible. We ordered Goulash and 2 servings of Rouladen. The latter we had to return to the kitchen because the meat was hard as leather. The...More

This is a place to come for a drink in historic rooms but we would not eat here again. First our starter was forgotten then only one main came! Not 2.

The location of this restaurant is tops. The service on the day we went was terrible. It wasn't that busy either. It took almost literally grabbing our server by the arm to get water or another beer. The food took over an hour. I'm very...More

Here you eat solid, good German food. The service was pleasant and it has quite a good choice of wines.

I had the beef roulade and dumplings and my husband had the schnitzel. As with most German food it was wholesome but rather heavy. Service was OK - it took ages to get a second water glass.

Came in for a nice warm whilst visiting the Christmas markets. Friendly welcome and nice menu. Didn't have any food but some good local dishes- including some vegetarian ones. Sympathetically renovated inside.
