Popular with the locals, this rustic style restaurant is centrally located next to the cathedral in Zwickau. The menu is mainly traditional German/Czech fare. Dumplings accompanying both the Prague pork roll and a wild boar roast created very satisfying (indeed filling) meals. The respective black...beer and red wine sauces were richly flavoured. We also tried a lighter meal the next day by again enjoying classic local fare: tasty solyanka, a goulash soup and a shared flammkucken which was exceptionally crisp. Three beers to taste and Austrian red wine went well with each meal. Service was friendly and efficient throughout; ambience is warm and welcoming; prices are reasonable. Were staying at the hotel nearby and were looking for a regional food without posh atmosphere. The place is a typical regional restaurant with Czech accents, but also with many “Austrio-Hungarian” traditions in the menu. Everything was very tasty and the portions were rather big....Good and fast service, normal prices. Definitely recommendedMore

Best place to drink beer and eat food in Zwickau. Not too dishes but however very good, Wenzel fries are the best.
