I visited solo and had the Pork knuckle which was only €11.90. This was huge. It is certainly bigger than it looks. I wonder if anyone has ever finished the whole dish. It was well cooked, moist and slightly pink in the middle and had great crackling. I think it would actually be possible to share with two people and... More

We stopped by for a few beers and a snack. This was easily accessible from the old city via the S-Bahn. I enjoyed seeing the historic train building juxtaposed with the new underground station. We sampled 3 different tap beers and each was excellent (€2.5 for .33L) Gose (unique to Leipzig), Kuper (unfiltered Weißbier), and Heizer (dark beer). We also... More

I drove an hour + out of my way to visit Leipzig and in particular to grab a bit dot eat after a long drive from Berlin only way to Erfurt to the Culinary Olympics. In spite of the great reviews I was quite disappointed overall. Food served (steak) was mediocre. I was unable to test out the beverages as... More

Enjoyed our previous visit so went back this year. It seems even more popular than ever, so a reservation is highly recommended. We got there about 1800 on a Thursday without a booking, and it was not certain that a table could be found. Finally a waiter said we could eat if we were finished by 1930. It is a... More

When travelling from Hauptbahnhof you can take tram 16 and get off at Bayerischer Bahnhof. Just look over to the right from the platform and you will see the restaurant. Bayerischer Bahnhof serves a lot of different food in different settings. I choose to sit in the traditional gasthaus area. On the menu you will find soups, salads, fish, meat,... More

Very tasty crisp pork knuckle and beer The pork knuckle is about 12€ but it is a lot. I cannot eat all myself. The Gose beer is 2.5 €(0,3l). Very good flavor. Our waitor was a old man but he was very kind and funny. Great service too. Tip: Come here around 18h for being serve fast and enjoy the... More

We visited here last night not sure if it would be busy or quiet. It was heaving! It was a beautiful evening - there were no tables outside at 6pm, nor in the immediate inside areas. We ended up much further into the restaurant at a table at the back. Not ideal when the whole point was to eat inside.... More

My experience is going to be a little different than most people's because I was there for a group event, with a buffet in a private room, with our own waiter and included a very detailed tour of the brewery. I see a lot of people complaining about food and service which we may not have been exposed to. Even... More

Went there with my son one July evening. Waitress on the front desk has seen her better days already, no smile , no nothing. Why enter to that kind of restaurant, well we did anyway. We didn't got any proper table because the place was full (maybe because Tripadvisor) instead we sat down on bar chairs near the entrance. That's fine... More
