Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Typical oriental dishes for both vegetarians and meat eaters in great variety. In case you need further explanation just contact the waiter who will hell you.

We were driving from Buchenwald to Prague and this charming upscale kosher restaurant in Chemnitz was a perfect place for us to have dinner. The service was excellent and the food was delicious with a wide selection of dishes to choose from. I have two...recommendations - 1. If you know what time you will be there, make a reservation because it gets busy in the evenings. 2. They do not accept credit cards, so be sure to have cash (Euros). I only had credit cards and Czech krone so I had to go to an ATM for cash; it wasn't a problem as the owner was very gracious and patient but it is better to avoid what could be an embarrassing situation. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience!More

I was in Chemnitz for 8 weeks for business and went to almost all restaurants in the area. This place has by far the best steak in town. Butter soft and delicious. The lam is also very good.

Schalom operates on somewhat strange hours. Yet it provides first class food, well served and presented. For a meal that is wholesome and which will not disappoint, its the place.

If you are coming to Chemnitz then may I suggest that this is one of the must do things on your list. The food is superb, no wait that doesn't really do it justice.....it's incredible. My only complaint is that I live over 700 miles...away. The service is excellent, the spoken English is very good for this part of the world and the two brothers who own the restaurant have their mother cooking in the kitchen.....no wonder the food is so good. This is now one of my favourite restaurants in the world.More
