This was chosen simply for it's location in the heart of Hauptmarkt and the location did not disappoint as we sat outside soaking in the atmosphere. The service was generally good and really nothing to complain about. However, I really did not enjoy the food which was exceptionally bland for my tastes, others may not have my issues. Overall if... Very busy in the front area on the square - but lovely. However, go around the back and watch the setting sun on the cathedral - be different. We were there with two other couples whilst the front was full. Had a good solid basic meal. Well cooked. Well presented and well looked after by our attentive waitress. Sit and... More

We spent our Mother Day here and really enjoyed our experience. Wonderful servers and very easy to make a reservation. This place has multiple areas to eat in. We sat outside under a canopy and really had a pleasant meal. Kids enjoyed their food, we had fish, grilled pork, quiche, soup, salad, and some Roman plates as well.

The restaurant spans across 2 different locations. If you happen to enter on the main street, demand to have a table on St.Peter's side. The view is very nice. Good food, good price

Try the roman dinner. Fun way to experience dishes from ancient recipes-modified slightly of course. Comes with aperitif, starter, main and dessert. The waiter was helpful, friendly and spoke English. One of the few places that take credit cards.

Went here with a tour group. The food was wonderful. The soup starter was so good that one in our party asked for a second bowl. The dressing on the salad was made in house and was very tasty. The main course, pork schnitzel with a mushroom sauce, plenty of mushrooms included, was awesome. This was served along with family... More

Food was quite good - I had schnitzel. Weitzen was also good. Downside: not a lot of old world ambiance.

Great spot for lunch on a sunny day in April as their terrace faces the right way across from the Dom (if you're in Trier you'll work out what I mean). A few different options on the menu including roesti which we had and they were great. Friendly staff.

Loved coming here for dinner on our first night in Trier. The schnitzel was really good and the waitress spoke great English which helped us! Nice bottle of red too! Fab.

Selected the place after searching on TripAdvisor. Location perfect for people watching if you sit outside since in Hauptmarkt. Service was pleasant; it helped a lot that our server spoke English. My partner ordered the mushroom soup and he enjoyed. Very creamy and nice bowl portion; may run the risk of filling up stomach before main course. He also ordered... More
