Expect to pay €4 for each glass of tap water, and get a plate which looks like a lot of food, but you’d only really want to eat a third of it due to the salt and oil. Better off going to the McDonalds down...More

Know this place for many years and was always a favourit. Goes very well with the beer, the fatty pork meat gives a great base for a night out or to sobber up after several (around 20?) Altbier. Dining in is a bit tricky as...More

What a original place - we took a high caliber customer to taste authentic German cusine for a fast dinner there... very kind and nice waiters - speedy serving. The food is now show case - no fancy wine card... but this is not what...More

Cozy restaurant with seating inside and out. All the food that went by looked great. I had the Sweinehaxe (rotisseries roast pork) and it was the best roast pork I've ever had! At €14 it was more expensive than most of the other items here....More

At Schweine Janes they specialize in Schwerin (Pork). And they do it up very well. The top choice is Schweine Haxe (the pork leg). This might be the best Schweine Haxen I have eaten.

As you walk down the street the aromas from Schweine Janes draws you in to witness their fabulous rotisserie grill where a nice selection of slow cooked pork knuckle rotates and cooks for over two hours. Although a little congested, the place is very good...More

I could smell the grilled meat walking towards the area. Several grills, but this one is my favourite. You walk past the rotisserie of knuckles and it takes a while for them to cook, I waited 35 mins for my order but I was forewarned...More

I've been scanning the reviews beforehand, but when I ate here, my expectations were greatly passed. I had the house specialty, the schweinhaxe, and it was so soft and juicy, the meat fell off the bone. The drinks were good, the food delicious and cheap....More
