Aachen is a wonderful old town in Germany, beautiful to visit all year round, but especially for the Christmas Market. Make sure you don't leave without some of it's famous Printen (ginger bread)..

Just lovely. Located at the Aachener Dom. You get a lot of handmade bakery things, cakes, dessert, coffee and The famous Aachener printen.

Printen do not really have an expiry date because they almost completely consist of sugar. As long as the chocolate is ok you can eat them. That will be for years. This pastry has been invented in the Middle Ages for... More
