Small place with 2 separate dining rooms one of which is the main bar. Traditional fayre at very reasonable prices. Portions are huge so consider sharing unless you are very hungry. Nice atmosphere and welcoming and attentive staff. I had the Schnitzel which came double-sized (standard) with a fried egg, fried potatoes and a side-salad. Washed down by a nice... More

The place was very welcoming, althoug busy. We came here because of the good reviews and we were not disappointed. The portions are huge, the quality high and the prices tiny. It is most for meat lovers but vegetarian have some good options too. If in Goettingen og there, you will love it!

This place is wonderful. The portions are generous to a fault - order a schnitzel and be prepared to be staggered by the giant size. Most recently, my husband had what I think was the Huntsmen's schnitzel with an absolutely amazing mushroom sauce that I couldn't resist myself throughout the meal. I ordered a lovely and light prawn and vegetable... More

Try the wienerschnitzel... it falls off the plate and is so delicious. I said I would only have half because it was sooooo big.. but I ended up eating most of it as it was very tasty! The service was extremly prompt. There was an english menu.. but you really don't need one... trust me and order the wienerschnitzel... All... More

Very nice English-spoken service. I struggled with the German menu but the beer they recommended was brilliant. I found the schnitzel a bit oily but tasted really nice, together with very refreshing salad and delicious Kartoffelkloesse. Great place to try German food!

I went in a large group of 18. The restaurant was able to get us all seated upstairs in a nice and cozy room. Food came quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Was bought here by my German colleagues, and can only describe the experience as brilliant. The restaurant was absolutely packed, and with no sign of a table coming free, the owner asked us to come back in 30 minutes, and he would hold the next one. So, a cheeky beer at another hostelry later, we returned, were seated nearly straight... More

There's no other place in Norther germany if you want to get an amazing Snitzel or some great Bavarian food. And it so happens to be the cheapest restaurant too. There is no comparison whatsoever with anything else around.

We expected to be more impressed with this restaurant since it's currently rated #1 on TripAdvisor. We were a bit disappointed. Service is good, staff members are friendly, and we appreciated that they gave our party of three a table despite our lack of a reservation. We were warned that we would have to leave before 7 pm since a... More
