Busy restaurant, advise reservations. Tables filled up quickly, mainly by working adults dressed in suits and smart casual. We had asparagus/Hollandaise sauce, asparagus rissoto, schnitzel and fried chicken. Every single dish was tasty and portions generous. Had the recommended wine and beer - good. Apple wine was nice too. Service is friendly. Prices reasonable. Recommends.

My wife and I celebrated our 43rd anniversary with the wonderful folks at Salzkammer in Frankfurt. We've traveled quite a bit and had some wonderful experiences at some wonderful places, and this small restaurant in Frankfurt ranks at or near the top. The German food was fabulous and bountiful, the service was extraordinary and the ambience was delightful. The restaurant... More

Great Austrian food. All the stuff you're hoping to get inside the Ring is also available here. Reasonable service and prices. We had the Wiener Schnitzel and the Cordon Bleu, the cucumber salad and the green salad, and the Zweigelt to wash it all down this time. Two years ago we had other stuff that was equally appetizing. This is... More

We were well looked after in this restaurant. The owner is very caring, considerate and attentative and there is no fault with the food. Keep up the good work you do.

Another typical German restaurant serving delicious food. Staples include schnitzel and local fish dishes. Good beers on tap and an assortment of wines.

I would strongly recomend reserving a table, even midweek it is very busy and popular with locals and tourists alike. Salzkammer serves a fantastic selection of traditional German and Austrian food, the service is very quick and the portions huge. If you can sit at the bar for some fantastic conversation with the staff, an ideal opportunity to brush up... More

We didn't have a reservation, but they gave us a table as long as we agreed to be done in an hour. Great schnitzel! Very tender, light and crispy breading. Spaetzle with cheese and onions was tasty and very filling. My husband had the veal cheek goulash and loved it. My son had the SALZKAMMER'S BAUERNPFAND'L and enjoyed it, although... More

This place is ALWAYS full of people. Unless you spontaneously go for a lunch at a non-standard time, say 3.30pm, you better book in advance. The popularity is justified as the food is plain awesome. Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarren, best Austrian fare in Frankfurt for sure. Big portions, cosy feeling/decoration and good service. Also a good selection of typical Austrian shots... More

The food is simply amazing. Although the menu is not long I choose something without thinking too much and I definitely made the right decision. Great flavor, great service and good beer. I can't ask for anymore. I am looking forward to come back and try other dishes

Very good location in the city. It is a cozy restaurant with good Austrian food. Both the Schnitzel as well as the Kaiserschmarren are very good. The restaurant is not very expensive, it is a good option for lunch or dinner.
