We had lunch and I ordered the hunter's schnitzel, which was a thinly breaded pork filet and a cream gravy with mushrooms on top of a bed of perfectly cooked spaetzle. We were lucky to be seated, they are booked full even for lunch, get a reservation. They had local beers and the service was very friendly to us non-German... More

We went for dinner at Klosterhauf as we wanted to eat some local food and this place didn't disappoint. We were lucky enough to score the last table despite it being 5.30pm on a Wednesday evening so make sure you book if you can! We had the schnitzel topped with cheese and ham- it was lovely! House beer was good... More

Frankfurt is buttoned up pretty tight on a Sunday, so when it came time for dinner we turned to Trip Advisor to suggest something. We were pleased with our choice. It isn't a big place, but it was busy. We sat on their garden porch with heaters and enjoyed a huge plate of schnitzel. Staff was friendly and helpful, food... More

My second visit to this eatery proved as perfect as the first a year ago--and this time my wife was with me to validate the assessment. Warmly welcomed without a reservation, we were seated at a front table shared with another party of locals and treated like regulars. Again the drinks were right, the entrees huge and delicious, with a... More

Good traditional German restaurant with old world charm and style. A bit of a mix between beer hall/bar and German restaurant. Larger dining area is in a heated tent but on a cold day, I did not think the tent was warm enough to enjoy dinner. The food was quite good ( I had think pea soup (starter) and for... More

We had a nice Bavarian meal at the Klosterhof. The food was delicious and the beers were tasty. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was busy for a Monday night, probably due to the holiday season, but the lively crowd made the evening very enjoyable. The restaurant is cosy and nicely furnished.

This restaurant offers good quality German dishes. Highly recommended but you should book a table in advance.
