Our group of colleagues always visit Vasco da Gama when we are in Hamburg on a business trip. They are always friendly and do not seem to be bothered by the fact that many times our group is of 9 or 10 work colleagues. Even though we have had to wait a little to get a table, there is no... More

An impromptu visit food was good and the service was great a bistro type affair with Portuguese slant. Would certainly visit again.

This is my go to restaurant whenever I am in Hamburg for business. It is walking distance from the Le Meridien hotel. The owners are always friendly and the food and wine is excellent. In the summer you can enjoy al fresco dining. All the dishes are consistently good but the seafood, particularly the paella is excellent. Make reservations as... More

The waiter was a little too eager to get us decide what to eat, but apart from that we had a very good experience at Vasco Da Gama. The bread and aioli was delicious, and both my octopus and my husbands rabbit were very well prepared. We will go there again next time we will visit Hamburg.

Found this on off chance just walking round the St George's area. Probably 1/3 full when arrived but full within 30 minutes. Very good attentive service with humour. We both ordered the same dish, fillet of lamb in red wine, with roast potatoes. It was excellent, lamb was tender and lovely flavour. Really good value for money.

We turned up on a Saturday evening at 7 wIthout a booking and although the place looked very busy they managed to squeeze us in. The service was good, efficient and friendly. The food was good, we had sole and monkfish, both were really good. I would recommend, and given how busy the place was it seems a lot of... More

We went there for lunch and it was a bit disappointing. Personal are not so friendly, food quality is okay. Fish soup just not tasty and a bit overpriced in the overall.
