Another recommendations from a guide book. This time a good one ;) We bought a mixed bag of pralines and several other delicious sweets. The pralines war good, but not the best I had but totally worth it. The woman behind the counter was nice and helped with the decision making. A place you should check out on a city... More

They have English menu, just ask. Tea is very good. Cakes are superb! You can pick one on display and the waitress will bring it over. Also cheap lunch offer, can have a meal for approx 8 EUR, it's in German but worth enquiring, changes daily

Really good service by English speaking staff. You can sit under cover in the street. English breakfast - excellent East Frisian tea with lemon and kandis - excellent. The terrible thing is that if you go in to use the toilets inside, you see the fabulous range of cakes you can't have after your breakfast. Easily worth a second visit.... More

Well strolling across the streets of Bremen, I came across Knigge. This place was epic. You have got ice creams and pastries on the run. I just loved it. Would like to make a visit again

This is the perfect place to go for two situations. If you want to have a very good breakfast and enjoy people who are like minded, in the middle of the city. Come here for the breakfast. If it is already afternoon and you want to try the typical german "Kaffee und Kuchen" (german version of afternoon tea) then come... More

The Café Knigge is one of the remaining “old” Bremen coffee and cake shop and it keeps the tradition of Bremen coffee houses. Although it’s most famous for the cakes you can have breakfast and others mall meals as well. There are several rooms inside and in summer you can sit outside as well.

Spent far too long in the cafe trying to choose which particular treats to choose - everything looks so delicious! Needless to say the chocolates we bought were excellent as was the Bremen Klaben cake which we enjoyed when we got home from our trip.
