This place had been recommended and didn't disappoint. The burgers and fries are well made and really tasty. The restaurant is inexpensive and has a great atmosphere. If you're doing Berlin on a budget, this definitely a restaurant to go to.

An amazing burger in a quirky converted toilet block! We visited this place twice during our 4 night stay in Berlin. Expect to find some queues but it is worth it. Best burger we've ever had!!!

I would not say that it is the best burger in berlin, but, certainly, a place that deserves a visit. The burger is simple but quite good and tasteful.

Me and my girlfriend decided to get a burger from here. At first you think it won't be that good given its location. But believe me these burger are one of, if not the best we have ever had. Superb. Well done guys

This place was great even though I couldn't work out where the actual door was as there are no handles.... We went on a busy Friday night and were served quickly and waited for about 10 minutes for our food. I had in mind that I wanted it to be as good as 5 guys as this is my favourite... More

This place makes a very good hamburger at a really great price! In the U.S. all the really great hamburger places have a very small menu. Keep it simple and be consistently good. That is Burgermeister. Your choices are basically a hamburger, cheeseburger, and several variations of a hamburger and cheeseburger. I was told the building used to be an... More

Open late and always decent - the burgers aren't amazing but they're not bad either. I've been when both sober and drunk and it's good all the time.

Best burger ever. Meat was moist and not greasy whatsoever. Perfect. Best burger I've ever eaten. Nice cheesy chips too!

We've been in a city break in Berlin. We found out about this fast food restaurant from internet. After a long day of visiting museums, we checked on the list burgermeister also.It was the best option because we eat the best burgers and we found there a great atmosphere. It was like a ghetto atmosphere from Brooklyn streets. If we come back... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
