I didn't know what to expect as not really a burger person, but this was amazing real beef and best chips ever! the décor was old brick style, and super music playing in background to suit all tastes. Staff friendly too.

The BIrd used to be the most incredible burger experience...but they've changed things and it's just not working It should be noted that the staff are great, really helpful and always try and get you a table. BUT....... 1.The chicken wings ...when I order hot sauce, I want hot sauce. This time I got a horrible sweet sauce, much more... More

I have only had four out-of-body experiences while eating food. Once was at Au Cheval after a looooooooong day of drinking on St. Patrick's day, when I set the speed record for the 1,000,000 scoval units, ghost pepper chili hot wings challenge at the Uni of Essex, when I set the record for sushi eaten at Todoroki in Evanston, IL,... A colleague recommended this restaurant to me so I decided to go there with a few other colleagues. It took a while to get a reservation, apparently the place is quite busy at times. Once you enter the restaurant and get your burger you understand why. At first the portion didn't look that big but it is really tasty and... More

Came here to eat on a quiet Saturday afternoon, having heard really good things. The good: - Burgers are very, very tasty indeed. Huge portions with a good side of fries. - Service is friendly. - No problem if you speak English - the staff are all fluent. - Good drinks menu with some decent beers. The bad: - The... More

If you are looking for a great, consistent burger place, this should be your choice. In summer, more crowdy but worth to wait.

I was about to not go since I felt suspicious after reading reviews here, but I ended up going anyway. Dumb choice. The place is nothing special. Booked early so did not have to queue, yet was made to sit with other people, while half of the place was empty and kept being empty for the next 1 hour. I... More

Young, noisy restaurant serving great burgers. Must be where all the young Berliners go on a Friday night! Managed to get past the idea of using my fingers to eat, and smiled at rolls of kitchen paper on tables and not napkins - perhaps that's just my age. But delicious. Must book!

One of the worst burgers I had in my life. Mear was cold inside and fries was black and birned as you can see on many pictures other people posted. Left half in my plate, couldnt finished it. Also when you get out from the place you smell like one big friyer :D never again..

Buns were tiny and the burgers were too big. The meat itself seemed tasty but was quite fatty too. The fries were way too overdone and almost blackened. The service was patchy with them forgetting our beer but friendly.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
