Massive portions, yummy burgers, fun atmosphere. We ate our last meal of 2016 here and it was a good one! Totally recommend the chicken wings as a side. We had a Bird Burger and a Big Rock (swiss cheese, bacon, jalapenos). The Bird Burger was definitely tastier and juicier. Mouth watering writing this review! A must if you want some... More

i know that people consider this place as one of the top spots in berlin , Their food is fine, nothing more . the portions were large. One thing that bothered me is that it was very very noisy, we had to yell to talk to each other. in the berghain you can communicate more easily than there!

Super tasty burgers and fries! The Bird is located somewhat "far away", but it's well worth the trip. Friendly waitress and cool interior.

Bird seems to be hyping for years now, and muss say, their burgers are still to die for, and its one of the few places around that serve fresh decent chips! But a pain to make a reservation and the crowd seems rather pretentious and the place is too crowded and too loud.

Personally I think it important you eat the best food wherever you go; not just the most expensive. Research recommended The Bird and I wasn't let down. Burger: meat cooked wonderfully, just let them bring it to you as they think it should be prepared; go for the house burger. The accompanying fries were excellent. Leave room for their cheesecake:... We had heard of this restaurant before we came to Berlin. A group 25 people, came by 2 hours beforehand and they made us a reservation. The place is urban, busy and noisy. A bit chaotic, but that's to be expected. Drinks came, orders were placed - food came out - and it was just great! Best ever burgers for... More

I was really looking forwards to my night at The Bird, after all the good reviews, and for the most part wasn't disappointed. The welcome was friendly, the beer in tasty (and in pitchers), and the chicken strips and dips were lush. I also had the super hot sauce, which was challenging but fun. The only down side was the... My partner and I decided to visit the restaurant based on a food critic review and trip advisor comments and we are glad we did. We visited on a Friday evening and were lucky to get a seat so would recommend booking if you fancy a meal. Staff were very polite and the décor of the place was really cool... More

Huge portions - we got the burger and fries and it tasted delicious. The restaurant was packed full and it was hard to get a table as we had not booked, but the sweet staff made a huge effort to squeeze us into four barchairs. The music is loud and the atmosphere is relaxed and nice. There were several who... More

This place is famous in Berlin. There is a party feel to it. Staff is usually nice. The food is good, not the best burger in the city, but interesting options. Nice rest stop after exploring Mauerpark.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
